This paper presents the results of a public opinion poll about 11 Sept 1973 & the military regimen. The sample included 792 persons from the Metropolitan Region in Chile, representing different ideological orientations & three political generations: persons who turned 18 years old before 1973, between 1974 & 1989, & from 1990 onward. The results confirmed that 11 Sept remains subjectively relevant for most people of all three generations, though with mild generational differences. The ideological position continues to be a key factor in differentiating perceptions & memories about this historical event, although unexpected similarities among people from different political perspectives were found in some of the issues. 11 Tables, 31 Figures, 35 References.
