Our purpose in this study was to examine the extent to which students with a visual impairment perceived preparation for college in high school as being important, how well they felt they had been prepared for the transition to college in high school, and the level of their satisfaction
with these transition education support facilities and services. Analysis of survey responses from 34 students with impaired vision indicated that these students believed that the support and services they received at high school were important in easing their transition to college but that
these services/support left them unprepared for the transition to college. In addition, they felt dissatisfied with the transition education support and services provided before going to college.

In the literature on young adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD), little research has been conducted regarding the perspectives of Korean American young adults with disabilities and their families. This study investigated the postschool outcomes of Korean
American young adults (aged 18–25 years) with IDD, and their parents' perceptions of transition planning. The postsecondary employment outcomes of Korean American young adults with IDD were poorer than those of other groups of young adults with IDD. Korean American young adults with
IDD were also less likely to be enrolled in higher education than were other young adults with IDD studied in past research. Many parents were dissatisfied with the transition planning for their children leaving high school. It is, therefore, important for professionals to ensure that Korean
American parents are equipped with appropriate information related to their child's transition planning.

Although research has indicated that parent participation is considered to be one of the most important elements of transition planning, there are a few studies that have sought to measure the involvement of culturally and linguistically diverse parents. Asian Americans are the most diverse of America's leading minority groups and one of the most poorly understood ethnic minorities. We interviewed 10 Korean American parents to understand their perspectives regarding the transition experiences of their children with disabilities. Through this qualitative study, five themes emerged: Parental perceptions of disability, experiences with advocacy, expectations for future living, connections with Korean communities, and family-professional partnerships. Implications for practice among educators to enhance the involvement of Korean American parents in the development of long range plans that will affect the postschool outcomes of their children with disabilities will be discussed.

The proposed control scheme is based on an extended-state estimator structure which consists of a state feedback regulator and an estimator. The main contribution of this article relies on the utilization of the linear matrix inequality approach and the internal model principle to synthesis a robust control scheme that equips a grid-connected inverter with the ability to withstand grid disturbances. As opposed to the existing works, the proposed control scheme can simultaneously deal with all types of grid disturbances, such as grid voltage distortion, grid voltage imbalance, and grid impedance variations. The effectiveness of the proposed controller is highlighted through comparative simulation results and in-depth analyses.
