Lampuuk Beach is the most visited beach by both local and foreign tourists. Based on data from the Aceh Besar Culture and Tourism Office (2018) that in 2017 the number of local and foreign tourists reached 1,075,626 people with a growth of 4.75%, the number was the highest compared to tourist visits to other tourist objects in Aceh Besar. To develop beach tourism activities and increase tourism interest in Lampuuk Beach in Aceh Besar District, it is necessary to conduct research related to the arrangement of coastal areas by improving the environmental quality of coastal areas. The purpose of this study is to identify the characteristics of tourists in the area Lampuuk Beach. The benefits of this research as input for local government and local communities for policy formulation in the development of tourist area, arrange Lampuuk Coast resort management structuring by reviewing current condition and alternative arrangement in the future. The method used in this research is mixed methods between quantitative method and qualitative method, and analysis used is contant analysis). The result of analysis shows identification of tourist characteristic in Lampuuk Coast area is is nusantara tourist equal to 99,42%, tourist gender 86,6% are male, age group often visit with age 25-55 year equal to 47%, education last tourist D3 by 41,86%, work type of worker working equal to 63,92%, tourist expenditure during the beach between Rp. 100,000-Rp. 200.000 is 44,93%, tourist visit destination is 100% travel, visit frequency every year equal to 40,56%, friend of traveler visit trip is with friend equal to 37,11%, stay length of traveler greater than 5 hour at beach 72, 16%, the residence of the majority tourists with no stay of 79.38%, the type of expenditure of tourists for the tickets, the cost of parking, and consumption during the beach, the transportation used by tourists 50.52% by using motorcycles, the motivation of tourists visited Lampuuk Beach because the natural beauty of 45.36%, the source of information to visit tourists get from friends and family, the activities undertaken in Lampuuk Beach is to enjoy the beauty of nature and bathing, the willingness of tourists to return 100% return.

The public open space in the city center is the identity of a city, which is a gathering place for the community for conducting activities, trading, celebrating, or just spending their spare time. Banda Aceh government has launched Aceh market area as one of historic area (heritage) as well as strategic area of Banda Aceh city. The purpose of this study is to identify factors that led to the transition of function and suitability of the arrangement of public open space facilities through Jhon Lang's theory of Urban Park Design Indicators and RTRW Banda Aceh City 2009-2029. The research methodology used is mixed methods with descriptive analysis. The result of the research shows that the arrangement of public open space facility in Pasar Aceh area has not been in accordance with Urban Design Indicator and RTRW Banda Aceh City 2009-2029. Those become the factor causing the shift of public open space function in Aceh market area. The lack of strict rules governing the parking of vehicles and street vendors also become factors causing the transition of public open space functions in the Aceh market area. Data obtained from the results of the study were analyzed by using SWOT. The SWOT analysis where obtained thre alternative strategy could be applied are : implementation of rules on arrangement and utilization of public open space in the Aceh Market area to be well ordered; implementation of rules with clear law enforcement will discipline street hawkers and motor vehicle owners who abuse public open space function in Aceh Market area; providing public open space supporting facilities and infrastructure in Aceh Market area in accordance with the theory of Urban Park Design Components and Indicators, RTRW Banda Aceh City 2009-2029.

Public open space is a shared space used by the community for individual or group activities. Quality public open spaces are public spaces that are able to meet needs, protect rights and give meaning to the people who visit them. Blang Padang Field is a tourist zone and public space used by visitors for recreation, sports and selling. Blang Padang as a venue for state ceremonies, religious and military activities. The condition of the physical structure and some of the facilities in it are inadequate as a public space such as a public toilet and seats. Its multi-functional use creates several problems such as parking problems and traffic jams. The method used is quantitative and qualitative using a Likert scale, with descriptive analysis. The data used were observations, questionnaires, and interviews, and data from related agencies. The quality of the Blang Padang Field Public Open Space based on the fulfillment of the needs aspect with a value of 2.97 and the quality of the rights aspect with a value of 2.99 shows a negative response because the average value is below 3, while the quality of the aspects of meaning (meanings) ) got a positive response with an average value of 3.22.

Based on the Banda Aceh Heritage City Action Plan (2012), Banda Aceh is one of 48 Cities / Districts involved in the Indonesian Heritage City Network (JKPI), participating in the Planning and Preservation of Heritage City Program (P3KP). In the draft of Qanun Banda Aceh No. 4/2009 on Urban Planning of Banda Aceh City in 2009-2029 in Article 49 section 5 Gampong Pande is designated as protected area, because there is Kandang XII tomb and also developed as a tourist area of history as mentioned in article 58 section 3. Some part of the area have been lost due to coastal erosion that occurred several decades ago. In addition, Gampong Pande is one of the worst affected by the tsunami that occurred on 26 December 2004. Historical buildings and other sites have been destroyed and lost by the tsunami. Furthermore, this historic area received less attention and care from the government. The problems in this study is what are the development characteristics (design guidelines) and the concept of the zone of the historical site area of Gampong Pande? The purpose of this study is to as producing design guidelines and the concept of zone of historical sites of Gampong Pande. The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive. The analysis of this study describes the theory of the urban design approach theory that proposedby Roger Trancik about figure ground, linkage, and place. The results of this study are expected to provide recommendations to the government related to the development of Gampong Pande as part of Heritage City in Banda Aceh. The results of the study has found some objects of cultural heritage based on interviews and literatures study. The community participated in preserving the cultural heritage of Gampong Pande. Many location points of cultural heritage were found as well as the discovery of cultural heritage objects in Gampong Pande.

Abstract: Banda Aceh city is a city that experienced growth so fast after the tsunami. This has implications for the greatest urbanization flows. Along with the increasing urbanization the impression of a comfortable city is less pronounced. Limited ability to move in urban areas and the fulfillment of quality for pedestrian facilities is also very minimal. But Banda Aceh has a huge obsession in building a quality city one of which is a sociable city. Walkable is one of the important concepts in urban design that is community friendly and sustainable city. Walkable is also a view that is based on the desire to create an environment that provides comfort and convenience for pedestrians. This concept can also assess how friendly an area is for pedestrians. According to Jan Ghel, walkable is a term used to describe and measure the connectivity and quality of pedestrian paths. Such measurements may also be made through assessments of the infrastructure available to pedestrians. The purpose of this study is to analyze the quality of pedestrian is more walkable so as to support the existence of the Old Town in Banda Aceh more comfortable (friendly). Another goal to be achieved is to formulate the application of the concept of walkable and analyze the influence or relationship resulting from the application walkable concept towards the comfort of the pedestrian track. The method used in this research is descriptive with mixed methods approach, and survey and interview technique. Whereas data processing is done quantitatively through the assessment analysis using likert scale measurement scale. Furthermore, T test analysis is done to find out how the level of relationship between the application of the concept of walkabel to the comfort of the pedestrian path. The results showed that the application of walkability concept will greatly affect the comfort of the pedestrian path. Some things that need to be improved on the pedestrian path to attract pedestrians, ie eliminating non pedestrian activities on the sidewalk, increasing the number and quality of supporting support and aesthetic value of the sidewalk and improvements on broken sidewalks. The role of the Government will greatly help the effort to create a pedestrian environment that convenient by adding pedestrian support equipment and adding aesthetic value.Abstrak: Kota Banda Aceh merupakan kota yang mengalami pertumbuhan yang begitu cepat pasca tsunami. Hal ini berimplikasi terhadap timbulnya arus urbanisasi paling besar. Seiring dengan meningkatnya urbanisasi kesan kota yang nyaman sudah kurang terasa. Terbatasnya kemampuan bergerak di daerah perkotaan dan pemenuhan kualitas untuk fasilitas pejalan kaki ini juga sangat minim. Namun Banda Aceh memiliki obsesi besar dalam membangun kota yang berkualitas salah satunya adalah kota yang ramah terhadap masyarakat.Walkable adalah salah satu konsep penting dalam desain perkotaan yang ramah masyarakat dan kota berkelanjutan. Walkable juga merupakan suatu pandangan yang didasari pada keinginan untuk menciptakan suatu lingkungan yang memberikan kenyaman dan kemudahan bagi pejalan kaki. Konsep ini juga dapat menilai seberapa ramah suatu daerah untuk pejalan kaki. Menurut Jan Ghel, walkable adalah istilah yang digunakan untuk menjelaskan dan mengukur konektifitas serta kualitas jalur pejalan kaki. Pengukuran tersebut juga dapat dilakukan melalui penilaian terhadap infrastuktur yang tersedia bagi pejalan kaki. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisa kualitas pedestrian yang lebih walkable sehingga mampu mendukung keberadaan kawasan Kota Lama di Banda Aceh yang lebih nyaman (friendly).Tujuan lain yang ingin dicapai adalah untuk merumuskan bentuk penerapan konsep walkable serta menganalisa pengaruh atau hubungan yang ditimbulkan dari penerapan konsep walkable terhadap kenyamann jalur pedestrian. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan penelitian kombinasi (mixed methods),serta teknik survei dan wawancara.Sedangkan pengolahan data dilakukan secara kuantitatif melalui analisis penilaian yang menggunakan skala pengukuran likert scale. Selanjutnya dilakukan analisis Uji T untuk mengetahui bagaimana tingkatan hubungan antara penerapan konsep walkabel terhadap kenyamanan jalur pejalan kaki. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan konsep walkability akan sangat berpengaruh terhadap kenyamanan jalur pedestrian. Beberapa hal yang perlu ditingkatkan pada jalur pedestrian untuk menarik minat pejalan kaki, yakni menghilangkan aktivitas non pedestrian di trotoar, peningkatan jumlah dan kualitas kelengkapan pendukung dan nilai estetika trotoar dan pembenahan pada trotoar yang rusak.Peran Pemerintah akan sangat membantu upaya untuk menciptakan lingkungan pedestrian yang nyaman dengan menambahkan kelengkapan pendukung pedestrian dan menambah nilai estetika .
