We publish here two articles which advocate the introduction of the study of social sciences into educational curricula in Britain. A. I. Polack puts forth the reasons why such study is important in modern society, answers some of the objections raised to it, and suggests ways in which the problem might be tackled. David R. Hughes discusses some of the specific proposals, and draws conclusions from his own experiment in Singapore of introducing the study of elementary physical anthropology into a multi-racial secondary school.
