В роботі розкрито зміст ключових понять дослідження: «людина з обмеженими фізичними можливостями», «державна стратегія», «система соціального захисту», «соціальний захист», «соціальна інтеграція», «соціальна допомога», «соціальна реабілітація» та інших; визначено сутність соціального захисту людей з обмеженими фізичними можливостями як соціальної проблеми та об'єкту наукових досліджень; досліджено процес розвитку законодавчого забезпечення системи соціального захисту людей з обмеженими фізичними можливостями в Україні; визначено основні проблеми чинних нормативно-правових документів, що діють у системі соціального захисту осіб з обмеженими фізичними можливостями; проаналізовано стан реалізації державної стратегії розвитку соціального захисту людей з обмеженими фізичними можливостями в Сумській області; зробити оцінку чинників, що впливають на реалізацію державної стратегії розвитку системи соціального захисту людей з обмеженими фізичними можливостями в регіоні; обґрунтовано напрями щодо вдосконалення реалізації державної стратегії розвитку системи соціального захисту людей з обмеженими фізичними можливостями на регіональному рівні. ; The paper reveals the content of key research concepts: "a person with disabilities", "state strategy", "social protection system", "social protection", "social integration", "social assistance", "social rehabilitation" and others ; the essence of social protection of people with disabilities as a social problem and an object of scientific research is determined; the process of development of legislative support of the system of social protection of people with disabilities in Ukraine is investigated; the main problems of the current legal documents operating in the system of social protection of persons with disabilities are identified; the state of implementation of the state strategy for the development of social protection of people with disabilities in Sumy region is analyzed; to assess the factors influencing the implementation of the state strategy for the development of the social protection system for people with disabilities in the region; directions for improving the implementation of the state strategy for the development of the social protection system for people with disabilities at the regional level are substantiated.
