As vehicles have evolved from simple to complex machines with specific configurations depending on their main role, the issue of interior noise has become a topic of interest. The present paper presents a model of experimental acoustic determinations made based on standardized acoustic emission factors for a vehicle in the N2G category, taking into account the volume of the vehicle, its speed, road configuration, and the distance from the receiver. Thus, significant conclusions are reached regarding the level of acoustic emissions in the vehicle cabin. Cumulative preliminary estimates were also made for the level of interior noise in the special purpose vehicle, monitored while stationary and in motion, in order to obtain an initial picture of the cumulative impact of noise and vibrations generated by acoustic sources originating from the operation of the vehicle. Noise tests were performed under realistic operating conditions during the intensive testing period.

Known as Jieţi or Momârlani, this population, located in the so-called Country of the Momârlani in the southern part of Hunedoara County, is distinguished by certain specific characteristics that single it out from the other inhabitants of Jiu Valley. Leisure activities, dances or hore (Romanian round dances) in particular, have characteristics of the ethnic profile of the Momârlani, as well as the humorous/satirical extempore verse chanted during a folk dance (lies); they all aim at creating relaxation and good humor. They include Învârtita jienească, Stânga, Hora mare, Hora bănăţeană, Haţegana, Sârba, Alunelu, Bordeiaşul, etc., depending on the locality. Dances at the Jieni's parties – the Sunday dances at the pub, țirc dances, dances at claca (voluntary collective work of the peasants usually followed by a party), şezători (evening sitting of village women), godchildren gathering, blood brotherhoods, baptisms, weddings, pițărăii (carolers on Christmas Eve), the feast of the Magi, the gathering of the sheep, nedei (countryside parties held for a week after Easter by the Jiu Valley communities of Momârlani). Parties and dances also contributed to shaping the ethnic profile of this population, along with the ornamental and colorful richness and meanings of the traditional costume, gastronomy, customs, traditions, language, folk literature, etc. The isolation in which they lived until the first half of the 20th century was one of the reasons that enabled the preservation of their unaltered ethnic characteristics, of the specificities given by the originality of certain customs and traditions, some of which are of an ancient origin.

Nicolae Manolescu is a critic who lucidly questions his own condition, reflection on himself and reflection on others being the relevant resources of moral self-scopy. For Nicolae Manolescu, criticism has an uncertain, anarchic status, as it approaches the meanings of the work asymptotically, without being able to reveal its inexhaustible wealth of semantic configurations, unable to dismantle the subtle mechanisms and the multitude of aspects that make it up. The global reading of the literary work is a chimera, exegesis assuming at best the role of approximating the meanings and inner workings. Situated at the intersection of opposing categories, between Apollonian and Dionysian, the writing seems weakened by an uncertainty derived from the steady exercise of lucidity, from mutations and "revisions" with a Lovinescian flavour, Manolescu's critical statements repudiating any categorical allure, the demonstrative air, the learned, sufficient bearing. The rejection of apodictic, learned, rigid and reductionist affirmation has the problematic allure of the phrase, the methodical doubt, the dilemmatic questioning.

This paper aims to determine the strategies of adapting the translated content to a specific context based on a study case of Norman Manea's The Hooligan's Return. An exclusive interview with the author reveals the lesser debated prospect of the ghost translator. At a closer look, the translation of a text in various languages and spaces reveals certain truths and aspects specific to the community that embraces the translated text. Therefore, besides the role of cultural mediators, translators also need to possess certain anthropological qualities, so as to transplant the fragile human experience of a text to the foreign reader. According to Lawrence Venuti, this exchange can happen through a phenomenon explained in terms of foreignization and domestication, characterized by combating racism or ethnocentrism. Starting from these two approaches, we will examine how the mechanisms of translation are applied in our case study.

In the aftermath of the Great War, the Kingdom of Romania significantly expanded its territory and population by incorporating Transylvania, Bessarabia, and Bucovina. Despite the enthusiasm that accompanied the "Great Union", integrating these culturally distinct areas proved to be a complex and challenging process. Alongside political and administrative unification, the Romanian state faced the task of bringing together populations with different histories and cultural backgrounds. This integration involved not only formerly dominant ethnic groups but also Romanians who had lived and defined themselves as a national community within different contexts. Various debates emerged among the Romanian elites regarding the means of achieving cultural and spiritual unity. One of the factors perceived as hindering the profound unification was the fact that the Romanians from the Old Kingdom and those from the newly acquired provinces were unfamiliar with each other's culture, habits and customs. Although cultural contacts and transfers had indeed existed before the war, the new context necessitated broader engagement, and the ties needed to be extended to a larger segment of the population. One suggested solution was to promote tourism and travel between the Old Kingdom and the new provinces, so as to foster better understanding, familiarity, and unity among Romanians. By examining journal articles, travel notes and memoirs, the main issue addressed by the present paper is the manner in which tourism and travel fostered cultural and social bonds among Romanians from different areas of Greater Romania, reinforcing a shared sense of national identity.

The presence and emergence of Neo-Protestant cults on Romanian territory beginning with 19th aroused several reactions both from traditional churches and from civil authorities. The attitude towards the "newcomers" was different, taking various forms of manifestation. These reactions varied in intensity: from opposition to persecution. They also differed from one territory to another. The authorities (civil and religious) have acted independently of each other and in synergy. Most often the association was led by the pressure from the religious authority towards the political authority. These reactions also produced several effects among the modern religious movements. This presentation will show some of them. It is also worth emphasizing the attitude of civil society where it existed and was preserved in historical sources.
