Kaniarare pattern (窠に霰文), a typical and representative design among the Japanese Yusoku patterns (有職文樣), becomes stylized at least during the 11th to 12th centuries in the late Heian period. The design of kaniarare pattern became stylized at least during the 11th to 12th centuries in the late Heian period, while the earliest known stylized kaniarare-mon silk fabric could be dated from late 13th century during the Kamakura period. Although the study of the trade and cultural exchanges between Song and Liao Dynasties and late Heian to early Kamakura Japan became more distinctive in the past decades, the transmission of silk art and relative impact on Japanese silk design have not been fully studied. By comparing with a few groups of extant and unearthed silk relics and connecting their relevancy, this article attempts to analyze the possible influence of silk design from the Liao to Song dynasties on Japanese silk design then and later.

The in-depth analysis of the relationship between financial capital and functional capital together with its changes is not only helpful for us to understand the inherent contradictions of the current capitalist economy, but it is also the key to clarify the inner logic of capitalist financialization. This article analyzes the logic and consequences of changes in the mutual relationship between financial capital and functional capital in capitalist reproduction and accumulation in a unified framework by researching on the contradictory relationship between financial capital and functional capital from the two traditional Marxist approaches, namely the Capital Circuit Approach and the Class Approach. The article holds that the cyclical relationship between interest rates and corporate profitability reflects the cooperation of financial capital and functional capital in capital circulation, and reveals the power confrontation of the two in the distribution of surplus value, which provides important clues to understanding the financialization of contemporary capitalism.
Imaging radar is widely applied in both military and civil fields, including remote sensing. In recent years, polarization information has attracted more and more attention in the imaging radar. The orthogonality between different channels is always the core problem for the full-polarization imaging radar. To solve this problem, an image reconstruction method using orthogonal coding apertures technique is proposed for full-polarization imaging radar in this paper. Firstly, the signal model of the orthogonal coding apertures is proposed. This model realizes the ideal time-domain orthogonality between switching two channels by the apertures with two trains of orthogonal codes. Then, a multichannel joint reconstruction method based on compressed sensing is proposed for the imaging processing, which is named the coded aperture simultaneous orthogonal matching pursuit (CAS-OMP) algorithm. The proposed algorithm combines the information of all polarization channels so as to ensure the consistency of the scattering point position obtained by each polarization channel and also improves the reconstruction accuracy. Finally, the simulation experiments using both the simple scaled model of the satellite and measured data of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) are conducted, and the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified.

During the 2014 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders' Meetings in Beijing, the Chinese government made significant efforts to clear Beijing's sky. The emission control measures were very effective and the improved air quality during the APEC Meetings was called the "APEC Blue". To monitor and estimate how these emission control measures affected air quality in Beijing and its five neighboring large cities (Tianjin, Shijiazhuang, Tangshan, Jinan, and Qingdao), we compared and analyzed the satellite-retrieved Aerosol Optical Thickness (AOT) products of the pre-APEC (18–31 October), APEC (1–11 November), and post-APEC periods (11–31 November) in 2002–2014 and daily PM2.5 measurements of the three periods in 2014 on the ground. Compared with the pre- and post-APEC periods, both ground and satellite observations indicated significantly reduced aerosol loading during the 2014 APEC period in Beijing and its surroundings, but with apparent spatial heterogeneity. For example, the peak value of PM2.5 in Beijing were around 100 µg∙m−3 during the APEC period, however, during the pre- and post-APEC periods, the peak values were up to 290 µg∙m−3. The following temporal correlation analysis of mean AOT values between Beijing and other five cities for the past thirteen years (2002–2014) indicated that the potential emission source regions strongly impacting air quality of Beijing were confined within central and southern Hebei as well as northern and southwestern Shandong, in correspondence with the spatial pattern of Digital Earth Model (DEM) of the study region. In addition to stringent emission control measures, back trajectory analysis indicated that the relatively favorable regional transport pattern might also have contributed to the "APEC Blue" in Beijing. These results suggest that the "APEC Blue" is a temporarily regional phenomenon ; a long-term improvement of air quality in Beijing is still challenging and joint efforts of the whole region are needed.
