En el análisis de las tendencias de la distribución espacial de la población y las corrientes migratorias, tres asuntos se contrastan con la evidencia producida mediante el procesamiento de los microdatos de los tres últimos censos chilenos de población y vivienda (1982, 1992 y 2002). El primero atañe a la concentración de la población chilena en el Área Metropolitana del Gran Santiago (AMGS) y en la región político administrativa que la contiene (Región Metropolitana o rm); dos hipótesis en pugna se confrontan con los datos: la que sugiere la prevalencia del atractivo migratorio del AMGS y la RM, como resultado de su capacidad para seguir liderando el dinamismo económico, y la que plantea un cambio de orientación de los flujos, tras lo cual quedarían el amgs y la rm con saldos negativos por la pérdida que tendrían en el intercambio con las regiones más dinámicas, que serían aquellas mejor ubicadas en la globalización productiva. Los datos sugieren que efectivamente en la segunda mitad del decenio de 1990 la Región Metropolitana y el AMGS mostraron la novedosa condición de zonas de emigración neta, pero que paradójicamente esto no alcanza para revertir el incremento de la concentración de la población nacional en ellas por el efecto combinado de un crecimiento natural sobre la media y una fuerte absorción de inmigrantes internacionales. El segundo asunto refiere a los procesos de convergencia regional y al papel de la migración en ellos, respecto del cual hay varias hipótesis, tanto sobre la existencia de tal proceso en las diferentes dimensiones socioeconó­micas, como sobre el efecto de los flujos de migración interna en él.El impacto de la migración sobre los niveles de escolaridad regional se evalúa usando procedimientos novedosos que operan con microdatos censales –y que se presentan para su discusión–; los resultados indican que en los dos últimos periodos censales la migración entre regiones ha favorecido, aunque muy ligeramente, la convergencia de niveles educativos regionales. Finalmente, el tercer asunto se relaciona con la segregación urbana, respecto de la cual se discute la hipótesis de una reducción de sus niveles y una remodelación de sus formas como resultado del desplazamiento de algunas familias de altos ingresos a comunas periféricas y pobres del AMGS. La evidencia producida y ana­lizada indica que la migración intrametropolitana desempeña un doble papel, pues mientras reduce la escala de la segregación sigue siendo una fuerza que tiende a ensanchar las disparidades socioeconómicas entre comunas. Se concluye que tanto para pro­mover los flujos migratorios afines a la estrategia de desarrollo regional, como para evitar que se consoliden territorios de pobreza dura en las ciudades, donde ésta tiende casi inexorablemente a reproducirse, se requieren políticas territoriales, algunas para reforzar tendencias derivadas de la acción de los mercados y otras, en cambio, para mi­tigar o contrarrestar tendencias derivadas del libre juego de la oferta y la demanda.AbstractIn the analysis of the trends in the population's spatial distribution and migratory flows, three issues contrast with the evidence yielded by the microdata processing of the last three housing and population censuses in Chile (1982, 1992 and 2002). The first concerns the concentration of the Chilean population in the Metropolitan Area of Greater Santi­ago (MAGS), and the political and administrative region in which it is located (Metro­politan Region or RM). Two competing hypothesis are compared with the data, one suggesting the prevalence of the migratory attraction of MAGS and RM, as a result of their capacity to continue leading economic dynamism and the other proposing a change of orientation of the flows, after which MAGS and RM would end up with a negative balance because of the loss they would experience in the exchange with more dynamic regions, which would be better positioned within globalized production. The data suggest that during the second half of the 1990s, the Metropolitan Region and MAGS began to act as areas of net emigration, but that paradoxically, this failed to revert the increase in the concentration of the national population in them, due to the combined effect of over-average natural growth and the high absorption of international immigrants. The second issue refers to the processes of regional convergence and the role of migration in them, about which there are several hypotheses, concerning both the existence of this process in various socio-economic dimensions and the effect of internal migration flows in it.The impact of migration on the regional educational attainment levels is evalu­ated using novel procedures that operate with census microdata-and which are submitted for discussion. The results indicate that during the past two census periods, migration between regions has favored -albeit only slightly- the convergence of regional educational attainment. Finally, the third issue is relative to urban segregation, a propos of which the author discusses the hypothesis of a reduction of its levels and a remodeling of its forms as a result of the displacement of certain high-income families to peripheral, poor communes in MAGS. The evidence produced and analyzed indicates that intra-metro­politan migration plays a dual role, since while it reduces the scale of segregation, it continues to be a force that tends to increase the socio-economic gaps between communes. The authors conclude by saying that in order to promote migratory flows in keeping with the regional development strategy, and prevent the consolidation of areas of entrenched poverty in the cities, where it invariably tends to be reproduced, territorial policies are required, to reinforce tendencies derived from the actions of markets and to offset the trends derived from the unrestricted effects of supply and demand.

The purpose of this paper is to describe the characteristics of the dual-purpose water buffalo production based on the Mexican production system as a model in tropical wetlands. It includes a broad literature review emphasizing the most recent and specialized publications examining key findings to improve our understanding in the performance of the buffalo species (Bubalus bubalis). The complementary topics addressed include reproductive management, parturition, the dam–calf bond, milking routines, and models of confinement and management, in addition to aspects related to milk commercialization. This article summarizes the advances made to date in this production system and its current margins for improvement. The development of dual-purpose water buffalo production systems in Mexico's tropical wetlands is a relatively recent phenomenon that has progressed and improved due to herd management. Buffaloes are an interesting alternative for dual purpose systems that offer several advantages. The lower milk production of this species compared to cattle is its main limitation. However, the properties of their milk allow one to obtain an added value and make this type of farms competitive. In synthesis, consolidating buffalo production in Mexico's tropical wetlands will require broadening our knowledge of this species, and perfecting the most appropriate handling procedures. The activities of government agencies and processing enterprises will play vital roles in achieving the integral modernization of this potentially important economic activity.

Los impactos expuestos en la pandemia en la estructura productiva acontecieron de manera diversa y diferencial. Ante ello nos preguntamos: ¿cómo se reconfigurarán los espacios-tiempo de las movilidades contem­poráneas a partir de la crisis del covid-19? Desde una perspectiva de la espacialidad y las prácticas sociales, ¿cómo se interpreta en forma sustantiva el turismo posvacuna? Para el abordaje de los interrogantes presen­tados, este trabajo se estructura de acuerdo con una caracterización de ese momento en términos de los cambios societales y su conexión con el fenómeno de la pandemia, luego se abordan los cambios de percepción de espacio-tiempo y la visibilización y actualización de históricas disputas aso­ciadas a la desigualdad.
En diálogo con lo anterior, se reflexiona sobre los procesos de desterritorialización y reterritorialización como parte de un continuum signado por un escenario de desigualdad, conflictos y reconfiguraciones manifiestas en los territorios contempo­ráneos. Por último, el escrito indaga el turismo posvacuna desde una perspectiva de la espacialidad y las prácticas sociales.

Introduction: biological drugs are products that have as active ingredients one or more derivatives of biological material extracted from fluids, tissues, or microorganisms, while biotechnological ones are developed through recombinant DNA technology with the implantation of genetic material from genes belonging to one species in a different one. Objective: to compare the specific regulatory requirements for the drug registration of biological drugs, specifically recombinant DNA products, vaccines, and blood derivatives, following current Central America and the Dominican Republic current legislation. Methods: the current regulations of each country of interest were obtained. Then, a thorough review of the documents was made, and the requirements that applied to each nation were summarized and compared between them. Results: Costa Rica is the only country with specific requirements for recombinant proteins, vaccines, and blood products. Guatemala and Panama request them for the last two groups, and Nicaragua for recombinant proteins and vaccines. Conclusions: the absence of homologation complicates the work to obtain the drug registration in these territories, for which it is necessary to speed up this process through said homologation.medic ; Introducción: Los medicamentos biológicos son productos que tienen como principios activos uno o más derivados de material biológico extraídos de fluidos, tejidos o microorganismos, mientras que los biotecnológicos se desarrollan a través de la tecnología de ADN recombinante con la implantación de material genético de genes pertenecientes a una especie en otra diferente. El Instituto Unidad de Investigaciones Jurídico-Sociales Gerardo Molina (Unijus) promueve y apoya el desarrollo e implementación de programas y proyectos de investigación que aporten al conocimiento de la realidad nacional e internacional, de las instituciones jurídicas, políticas y sociales, así como de las teorías jurídicas y políticas que contribuyan a la construcción de nuevas propuestas para la solución de las problemáticas que aquejan la sociedad. Por tal motivo, es fundamental el apoyo constante a la formación de semilleros de investigación en la Facultad de Derecho, Ciencias Políticas y Sociales de la Sede Bogotá, así como la consolidación de los semilleros ya existentes. En el año 2013, se desarrollaron las Convocatorias No. 01 y 02 de 2013 para la Selección de Semilleros de Investigación de la Facultad de Derecho, Ciencias Políticas y Sociales. Como resultado de dicho proceso fueron seleccionadas trece propuestas de investigación integradas por un total de 47 estudiantes, quienes a su vez se encontraban vinculados a 7 grupos de investigación. AbstractIntroductionMolecular surveillance systems could provide public health benefits to focus strategies to improve the HIV care continuum. Here, we infer the HIV genetic network of Mexico City in 2020, and identify actively growing clusters that could represent relevant targets for intervention.MethodsAll new diagnoses, referrals from other institutions, as well as persons returning to care, enrolling at the largest HIV clinic in Mexico City were invited to participate in the study. The network was inferred from HIV pol sequences, using pairwise genetic distance methods, with a locally hosted, secure version of the HIV‐TRACE tool: Seguro HIV‐TRACE. Socio‐demographic, clinical and behavioural metadata were overlaid across the network to design focused prevention interventions.ResultsA total of 3168 HIV sequences from unique individuals were included. One thousand and one‐hundred and fifty (36%) sequences formed 1361 links within 386 transmission clusters in the network. Cluster size varied from 2 to 14 (63% were dyads). After adjustment for covariates, lower age (adjusted odds ratio [aOR]: 0.37, p<0.001; >34 vs. <24 years), being a man who has sex with men (MSM) (aOR: 2.47, p = 0.004; MSM vs. cisgender women), having higher viral load (aOR: 1.28, p<0.001) and higher CD4+ T cell count (aOR: 1.80, p<0.001; ≥500 vs. <200 cells/mm3) remained associated with higher odds of clustering. Compared to MSM, cisgender women and heterosexual men had significantly lower education (none or any elementary: 59.1% and 54.2% vs. 16.6%, p<0.001) and socio‐economic status (low income: 36.4% and 29.0% vs. 18.6%, p = 0.03) than MSM. We identified 10 (2.6%) clusters with constant growth, for prioritized intervention, that included intersecting sexual risk groups, highly connected nodes and bridge nodes between possible sub‐clusters with high growth potential.ConclusionsHIV transmission in Mexico City is strongly driven by young MSM with higher education level and recent infection. Nevertheless, leveraging network inference, we identified actively growing clusters that could be prioritized for focused intervention with demographic and risk characteristics that do not necessarily reflect the ones observed in the overall clustering population. Further studies evaluating different models to predict growing clusters are warranted. Focused interventions will have to consider structural and risk disparities between the MSM and the heterosexual populations.

Objetivo: En primer lugar determinar las condiciones de acceso al Cuerpo de Farmacéuticos adscrito a la Administración Sanitaria de la Junta de Andalucía y en segundo lugar, conocer las distintas modalidades, cómo se han organizado los distintos cuerpos y cómo se estructuran en sus diferentes subgrupos. Además se analiza y define su régimen laboral. En tercer lugar, determinar la estructura orgánica y funciones de los distintos Cuerpos a los que tiene acceso el farmacéutico en la Administración de la Comunidad Autónoma Andaluza Metodología: Revisión de la normativa, vigente y derogada, que regula los cuerpos y el sistema de acceso para Farmacéutico en la Comunidad Autónoma Andaluza. Conclusión: La figura del farmacéutico como agente sanitario en la legislación autonómica andaluza, se encuentra regulada en distintas normas que exigen una interpretación de acuerdo a los criterios de la Ley 6/185 de Ordenación de la Función Pública de la Junta de Andalucía. Las distintas modalidades de ejercicio profesional, ya sea como agente sanitario de la autoridad autonómica o como profesional especializado se definen en distintos estatutos orgánicos necesarios para definir claramente sus funciones y responsabilidades. ; Objetive: First to determine the conditions of access to the Pharmacists' Body assigned to the Sanitary Administration of the Meeting of Andalusia and secondly, to know the different modalities, how the different bodies have been organized and how they are structured in his different subgroups. In addition his labor regime is analyzed and defines. Thirdly, to determine the organic structure and functions of the different Bodies to which the pharmacist has access in the Administration of the Autonomous Andalusian Community Methodology: Review of the regulation, in force and repealed, that regulates the bodies and the system of access for Pharmacist in the Autonomous Andalusian Community. Conclusion / discussion The figure of the pharmacist like sanitary agent in the autonomous Andalusian legislation, is regulated in different procedure that demand an interpretation of agreement to the criteria of the Law 6/185 of Arrangement of the Public Function of the Meeting of Andalusia. The different modalities of professional exercise, already be like a sanitary agent of the autonomous authority or as specialized professional they are defined in different organic necessary bylaws to define clearly his functions and responsibilities.

The mobile app Allergy Diary by MACVIA-ARIA is free and it is available for both Android and iOS platforms. After it is downloaded to the patient's cell phone, it fi rst requests some information about the patient's profi le, allergic pathologies and medication; afterwards, through a visual analog scale, the patient is invited to determine the degree of affectation in the nose, eyes, and bronchi, and its influence on their productivity at work / school. After analyzing the data generated by fi lling the Allergy Diary, it became clear there is a new clinical entity: allergic rhinitis+ allergic conjunctivitis +asthma, with greater effect; in addition to a high level of self-medication: in general, the patient takes medication on days when symptoms are present.
