Purpose: This paper is to analyze dynamic interactions between economic growth, capital and wealth accumulation, change in welfare, leisure time, inflation, and inflation policy, and government bond in an economy with monopolistic and perfect competition. It aims to integrate various economic mechanisms in different theories in a comprehensive framework to provide some new theoretical insights into complex of economic interactions with microeconomic foundation. Methodology: The work is a theoretical macroeconomic growth model, synthesizing a few influential mathematical models in modern macroeconomics. The growth mechanism and perfect competition are built on the Solow one-sector growth model. Money and growth with inflation are influenced by the Tobin growth model with money. The modeling of monopolistic competition follows the Dixit-Stiglitz approach. Our approach is also closely related to the IS-LM model and the AD-AS model. Findings: We build the model and simulate it to show behavior of the economic structural change. The system contains a unique equilibrium point. We describe the movement of the economy by simulation. We show the consequences of exogenous shifts in some parameters on the economic development in short-term transition. Implications: We find how monetary variables interact with real variables, whose connections cannot be explained by traditional models within a single framework. It also shows that the government inflation may have positive economic effects in short term, but uncertain consequences in the long term. The uncertainty is due to instabilities of the monetary economy. Originality: This paper makes an original contribution to the literature of growth theory with money by synthesizing some well-known models in a comprehensive analytical framework. The dynamic interactions between variables cannot be explained in the traditional separated approaches.

This paper makes an original contribution to the literature of optimal taxation by introducing Ramseytaxation to the Solow-Uzawa growth model to examine genuine dynamic interdependence between growth andoptimal taxation. We introduce a public sector to the Uzawa two-sector growth model. The public sector suppliespublic goods and services. The government financially supports by the public sector by collecting taxes on thehousehold's wage income and wealth income under the assumption that the utility level is maximized. We derivethe optimal taxation rule and construct the dynamics of the national economy. The model studies a nonlineardynamics between national and sectoral growth, economic structural change, wealth/capital accumulation, andoptimal tax rates in perfect competitive markets with the government intervention. The model has a uniquestable equilibrium point with the chosen parameter values. We carry out comparative dynamic analysis toanalyze effects of exogenous changes in a few parameters on the transitional process and long-term economicstructure of the economic dynamics.

This book tries to integrate the different arrangements devised in the MTS for small and large NMEs into one analytical framework and explores two sets of rules (GATT/WTO-minus and GATT/WTO-plus) along three historical stages (shaping, weakening and strengthening). The focal point of this book is to uncover the composition and structure of the NME treatment in the MTS, its evolving logic and process, and the nature and trend of the political-economic relations between NMEs and the MTS.--

We calculate the return on the major Asian currency denominated long-term government bonds in terms of a basket of the People's Republic of China's (PRC) imports of goods and services, namely the real return on those assets from the PRC's perspective. In the sample period of January 2002 to December 2009, the real return on United States (US) treasury bills is lower than that of Japan, India, the Republic of Korea, Singapore, or Thailand's government bonds, and a little higher than that of Malaysia's government bonds. This result shows that it is desirable for the PRC to substitute Asian currency denominated government bonds for US Treasury bills to maintain the purchasing power of its foreign exchange reserves. To some extent, this research supports the proposal by Fan, Wang, and Huang (2010) on the cross holding of regional currencies in foreign exchange reserves.

Traditional rural Chinese landscapes have fragmented from the impact of rapid urbanisation and modernisation. Aiming to address this tough issue, the Chinese central government proposed the Traditional Villages Project, which is top-down traditional village management and conservation policy. A traditional village landscape network (TVLN) can be used to integrate rural landscapes and ensure the unified protection of natural and cultural landscapes. This paper aimed to establish a method of building a TVLN through three main steps: the calculation of the connection strength of traditional villages, calculation of the tie strength between traditional villages, and establishment of a TVLN. The results demonstrated the rich layers and stable structure of the Yuan River Basin's TVLN, but there was a hidden risk in its stability due to the existence of tangent and isolated points. This TVLN quantitatively examined the characteristics and relationships of traditional villages and provided data support for the approval of traditional villages and protection policy formulation. A TVLN can support the overall conservation of traditional village landscapes, enhance their comprehensive value, and promote the sustainable management and cross-regional protection of traditional village landscapes.
