AbstractThis article examines Ohio's model for institutionalizing conflict resolution education. It describes the state's joint effect to promote CRE, examines the need for a comprehensive approach, presents a model for building in‐school capacity for program development, ofen examples of specfic strategies and activities that are being used to build in‐school capacip for program implementation, and addresses Ohio: evaluation eforts. A brief review of other states' eforts in school‐based conjlict resolution is also included.
