The article is devoted to pressing issues related to the educational, cultural and enlightening functions of the virtual network communities of the Kola Sami. The results of an empirical study are presented, the purpose of which is a quantitative and qualitative characteristic of the scientific, educational, cultural and educational content of the Sami network resources. The study showed that the educational potential of online communities targeting Sami users is significantly inferior to the capabilities of resources created for a wider audience. Cultural and educational content is most diverse in communities created on the individual initiative of cyber activists. Most Sámi virtual communities are not well developed in terms of user interaction technologies. The factors of interacting destructive processes in online and offline spaces that impede the activities of communities are identified.

One of the important tasks of regional historical and ethnological research is to determine the ethnographic potential of regional and municipal museums. It matters pragmatically —for the development of the tourism industry, and in relation to the generalcultural, educational, scientific development. The purpose of the article is to review the main aspects of understanding problems related to ethnographic museums in domestic science. The problems of museums are studied in institutional and socio-cultural perspectives, including in the context of the processes of socio-cultural identification and commemoration. The main place is given to the thoughts of researchers about the "crisis of museums" and their development trends. The problems of Russian ethnographic museums are defined at the conceptual, institutional, socio-economic, socio-cultural levels.

The article is devoted to the preparations for the Great Patriotic War. This topic is not adequately covered in the historiography of the Murmansk region, especially on the material of individual cities in the region. n the article. The data obtained asa result of working with archival sources in State archive of the Murmansk region in the city Kirovsk is given. They are associated, first of all, with activities related to mobilization readiness of healthcare, air defense and chemical defense of the city. The results of this activity in the pre-war period were considered unsatisfactory.

The author of the memoirs «In thatblockade years» candidate of agricultural Sciences, Director of the Polar-Alpine Botanical garden of the Institute in 1962–1986 Tatyana Alekseevna Kozupeeva. She worked in the Kola branch of the USSR Academy of Sciencesfrom 1953 to 1986. In her memoirs, she tells about the Leningrad blockade, which she endured from the beginning to the end and was among those who endured all the horrors of hunger, bombing and shelling.
