"Mit den Mitteln der Diskurs-, im Unterschied zur Gesprächsanalyse können die übergreifenden Sinnstrukturen und politischen Bedeutungen erschlossen werden, die durch Talk-Shows erzeugt werden. Eine Formanalyse des Talks richtet sich auf das neue Verhältnis von Volk und Intellektuellen, das sich im doppelten Raumdispositiv und in den Diskurstaktiken der Moderatoren etabliert. Die Talk-Show trägt dazu bei, daß die traditionellen Intellektuellen durch einen neuen Typ von Medienintellektuellen, reine Diskurssubjekte, abgelöst werden. Der Sinn des Gesprächs verschiebt sich vom Thema selbst zu den innermedialen Bedingungen seiner bloßen Aufrechterhaltung, die 'organische' Funktion der Intellektuellen verschwindet in der Positiv-/Negativkodierung, der sie im Mindcheck des Talks unterzogen werden. Die systematische Überfüllung der Talk Show mit Personen und Themen, die Stereotypisierung der Kontroverse und chronische Zeitknappheit führen zu einer Art Scheinparlamentarismus. Die Gesamtwirkung der Talk-Show als neue Form des kontroversen Gesprächs führt zu einer Verstopfung des Sinns für Politik durch ein von der Wirklichkeit verselbständigtes Reden über Politik." The objectives of the study are to find out the types, the difference, and the reasons of conversational maxims occurring in the talk show. This research was conducted by qualitative content analysis method. The data were three topics of Mata Najwa namely politics, law, and education with different guests culture; Javanese, Makassar, Bataknese, and Chinese. The findings showed that all kinds of conversational maxims, i.e. quality, quantity, manner, and relevance, occurred in all topics and guests. Conversational maxims occurring in topic of politics is dominantly violated maxim of relevance, in topic of law is dominantly obeyed maxim of relevance, in topic of education is dominantly violated maxim quantity. Conversational maxims occurring with the Javanese guests is dominantly violated maxim of relevance, with the Makassar, Bataknese, and Chinese guests are all dominantly violated maxim of quantity. There are no relationship between culture and language tradition of the guests and their conversational maxims because the guests of Makassar, Bataknese, and Chinese have the same violation of maxim of quantity and all different guests have the same abstain obedience of maxim of manner. Factors affecting conversational maxims found are (1) The language attitude of the guests as participants in answering, (2) tendency to hide something or not to reveal truly, (3) making a joke or humorous answer, (4) using the metaphorical words in comparing or using language features, and (5) the issues of the topic itself.

ABSTRACT This study investigate interpersonal metaphor in Mata Najwa's talk show texts. Three are reasearch problems are raised, namely 1) What types of grammatical metaphors are used in Mata Najwa's talk show. 2) How is interpersonal metaphor coded in Mata Najwa's talk show. 3) In what contexts are the interpersonal metaphors coded as they are in Mata Najwa's talk show. The analysis based on interpersonal metaphor as developed in Systematic Functional Linguistics (SFL). Specifically, dealt with interpersonal metaphor, in this study consist of two types, namely, metaphor of mood and metaphor of modaly. The total calculations are the metaphor of mood in Sang Penantang is about 94.85% and metaphor of modality is about 5.14%. The metaphor of mood in Sengatan Dahlan is about 95.34%and metaphor of modality is about 4.65%.In the investigating metaphor of mood is the dominant because the message of the sentences in political interaction used the patterns of mood which are seen as carrying the burden for making the different interpretation in the contextual occurences. This study was aimed at analyzing the Women Language in Indonesia by three Television Talk Show with female hosts in a different context. There are Mata Najwa in politics, Marry Riana in Social, and Feni Rose Widyadhari, Rumpi in entertainment. The analysis is based on the utterances of female hosts , so all objects in this research are Women. The findings of this research show that there are 39 times of lexical hedges or fillers, tag questions 17 times, rising intonation on declarative 19 times, empty adjectives 6 times, intensifiers 26 times, hypercorrect grammar 13 times, super polite forms 3 times, avoidance of strong swear words only one, and emphatic stress 24 times occurs in 3 different talk shows. This study shows that women's language mostly used the kind of Lexical hedges or filler in the utterance to have a purpose in giving a sequence time to think what they will say next in the talk show.

Abstrak Kesantunan berbahasa merupakan hal yang penting dalam kegiatan berkomunikasi. Politisi merupakan salah satu kelompok yang harus memperhatikan kesantunan berbahasa. Salah satu acara yang menayangkan politisi berbahasa adalah talk show. Kesantuan berbahasa politisi dikaji dengan teori dari Leech (maksim kebijaksanaan, maksim kemurahan, maksim penerimaan, maksim kerendahan hati, maksim kecocokan dan maksim kesimpatian). Kesantunan berbahasa juga memiliki peran yang penting dalam penerapan kurikulum 2013. Kata Kunci: Kesantunan berbahasa, politisi.

Odmienność cielesna jest podstawą doświadczania obcości drugiego człowieka. Konfrontacje z ciałami osobliwymi w przestrzeni publicznej pozostawiają nas często bezradnymi, a jednocześnie wymagają wypracowania strategii radzenia sobie z ich obcością. W nowoczesności wykreślone zostały dwie główne ramy dla heterotopicznej cielesności: medykalizacja i normalizacja. Mogłoby się więc zdawać, że w miejscu dotychczasowej przestrzeni pokazów osobliwości zieje pustka. Ślady spektakularnej logiki freak shows da się jednak wytropić w telewizyjnym formacie talk show. Ich zestawienie w tekście nie ma na celu jedynie skonstatowania powierzchownych analogii, ale też wskazanie na głębsze podobieństwa w odniesieniu do reprezentacji cielesnej odmienności oraz poszukiwanie metanarracji usprawiedliwiającej jej obsceniczność. Artykuł zamyka pytanie o możliwość wykorzystania ambiwalencji pokazów osobliwości (jak w performansach niepełnosprawnych artystów) do uobecniania ciał osobliwych w przestrzeni publicznej.
This study looks at how the disability presented in television talk shows program. It's important because the diffables in the media are often presented biased, causing misunderstandings. This can have an impact on the fulfillment of their rights by the government and also their social position. The use of representation theory to explain the process of media representation and interpret audience concepts using language. The analysis of research uses the Saussure semiotic method, because representation is closely related to the appearance of images, and other components, which are interrelated between markers and marked ones. The results showed that the media still placed disability as an object of inspiration, an object of pity should get a lot of appreciation in sports matches because of physical limitations. The media quickly found momentum to 'sell' disability stories that inspire. Achievement of disabilities is always related to money, not based on their rights.

The objectives of this descriptive qualitative study were to discover: (1) the types of impoliteness strategy, (2) types of attacks, and (3) how the responses to the impolite attack in Jakarta Lawyers Club (JLC) Talk Show on TVOne. The source of data were the participants' utterances in JLC Talk Show from the topics of Talk Show namely Badai Demokrat Menerjang Kemana–Mana, Anas Siap Digantungdi Monas, and Dibalik Bungkamnya Nazaruddin in order to find out therecurrences and the pattern of the data based on the problem of the study. The data were identified, analyzed and categorized based on Culpeper's (1996) theory. The findings of the study shows that: 1) there were four types of impoliteness strategies appeared in JLC Talk Show, namely Bald On Record Impoliteness (37.5%), Positive Impoliteness (27.5%), Negative Impoliteness (25.0%), and Sarcasm (10%), 2) there were two types of attacks appeared in JLC Talk Show namely Attacks on Quality Face (92.5%) and Attacks on Social Identity Face (7.5%), and 3) in responding to the impolite attacks, there were three ways appeared in JLC Talk Show namely not responding (52.5%), countering defensively (32.5%), and countering offensively (15.0%). The findings shows that JLC Talk Show was a formal context of Talk Show in which its participants were educated people who mostly use a direct strategy of impoliteness (Bald On Record Impoliteness) in attacking on the other participants' personal quality (Quality Face) but the attacks dominantly were not responded by them. Therefore, it can be concluded that in communication, everyone may convey his or her opinions, arguments, and feelings but he or she should express the good attitude to communicate. Some suggestions are directed to those who are interested in understanding impoliteness strategy as found in practice.
