Pornoterrorismo y praxis queer como resistencias biopolíticas
In: Moderna språk, Band 115, Heft 3, S. 89-104
ISSN: 2000-3560
The following article introduces the concepts of transfeminism and post-pornography as frameworks within which pornography takes place. It also defines the very concept of pornoterrorism as queer praxis and preamble to the background of the monstrous body that is its own. Later, he studies rage as the origin and engine of the figurative violence that is intrinsic to it. To exemplify, we will bring up the multidisciplinary artist Diana J. Torres (Madrid, 1981) and we will comment on her performance Squirting Fontana.
Pornoterrorism: Antisocial Dykes in the Spanish Transfeminist Movement ; Pornoterrorismo: bolleras antisociales en el movimiento transfeminista español
This article examines Pornoterrorismo (2011), written by Spanish transfeminist poet and performer Diana J. Torres. In this book, the author mixes autobiographical details with personal reflections that have motivated her work and includes a selection of pornoterrorista poetry. Through a close reading of the narrative and poetic voice, this essay shows how Pornoterrorismo constructs a transfeminist discourse of radical negativity based on the discursive figure of the dyke as a fractured, monstrous subject that ultimately expands the realm of queer negativity. First, I focus on how Torres explores the symbolic potential of dyke sexual practices throughout her narrative in order to challenge some of the underlaying assumptions in the original formulations of the antisocial thesis in queer theory originally elaborated by Lee Edelman and Leo Bersani. I will show how the dyke practices that Torres stages and that she describes in detail reveal the gender bias that marks the original theorization of the antisocial turn in queer theory. Second, I propose queer terrorism as a radical antisocial politics of transfeminist negativity. Here, I argue that there is an affective connection between Torres's performance with the material effects of terrorism that would be, precisely, that of provoking terror in a heteronormative society. Through the affective violence that is given off through her autobiographical account until the adoption of her artistic name, as well as a detailed analysis of her poem «Hijxs de puta» [Kids of Bitches], I will show how queer terrorism shapes the pornoterrorista answer to the attacks of a heteronormative society. Ultimately, this article aims to contribute to the study and delimitation of a transfeminist literary corpus written by its protagonists —texts that share a legitimization of life experience with a broadening, adaptation, or reinterpretation of feminist queer theory, situated in the contemporary Spanish context.

In: http://hdl.handle.net/10481/39052
; The development of queer theories and practices has posed new questions within feminist movements. Issues related to the deconstruction of identities, to the problematization of feminism's political subject of representation and claim or to the policies articulated around the "non-normative", are some of the challenges that queer discourses and activisms have introduced into feminisms. This research project investigates the reception of these theories and practices in the Spanish state, specifically in the context of the city of Granada. Their readings and contextualization, together with feminisms' growing interest in Trans issues, have made possible the emergence of the so-called transfeminism. A creative, assertive and questioning feminism whose representations, as the pornterrorism, move away from the more traditional feminist practices. Through the auto-ethnographical method I approached different transfeminist realities emerging in the city of Granada in order to understand the practices, discourses and cultural productions that this movement is developing. Assuming the hypothesis of situated knowledge of Haraway, this project contributes to the questioning of the supposed positivist objectivity of science. It is assumed, in this way, a feminist, situated, embodied and partial objectivity. From my situated and hybrid position, along with two local experiences, Manada Salvaje and La Fábrika Crítica, I collected different aspects that serve as notes to approach a complex, cheerful, rebellious and combative reality such as the transfeminist one in Granada.
