The article broadens a typological approach to the history of Romanian ideological development centered upon an approach of the same kind taken to the evolution of ideological liberalism in the pre-communist period. Focusing on the period 1900-1940 and on three periodicals of the time, it delineates two minority liberal discourses, alongside the mainstream one of modernizing liberalism with a strong statist and nationalist commitment, best incarnated historically in the practices of the National Liberal Party and having counterparts in all East European countries. The local typology thus disclosed is then related to the world-wide evolution of the main trends of liberalism over the long run. The study underlines that the existing comparative bibliography does not offer an appropriate understanding of the varieties of liberal theory and experience within the region. The article is intended to start filling this gap of the available literature.

Spanish viticulture possessed great genetic resources which were in danger of extinction, but nowadays they are being recovered and studied through several research programmes. During previous studies carried out in Rioja appellation (MARTÍNEZ DE TODA et al. 2004 ), 76 vine accessions were collected and planted in a germplasm bank in the farm of Rioja's Government, called "La Grajera". 'Tempranillo' is the red variety with higher number of hectares grown in the Iberican Peninsula, in Spain and in Rioja appellation. In the germplasm bank of "La Grajera" there are 14 accessions whose local name includes 'Tempranillo': 'Tempranillo', 'Tempranillo Blanco', 'Tempranillo Royo', 'Tempranillo del Barón' and 'Tempranillo Temprano'. The VALOVITIS project aims at improving the competitiveness of the wineries in the Pyrenean piedmont area through innovation and differentiation in a global market. During two consecutive harvests (2016-17), VALOVITIS monitored and characterised the agronomic behaviour of 20 grape varieties in the vineyards of the Germplasm Bank of the Government of Aragon in La Alfranca, Pastriz (Zaragoza). This work also assessed the technological and sensory properties of the wines produced following a basic winemaking protocol. Some of the varieties selected in this project, like the white variety 'Greta' and the red variety 'Parrel', showed a high potential to adapt to arid climates and to produce wines with a singular organoleptic profile.

The well-understood gap between "mainstream" environmental organizations and Americans from minority populations is rooted in two phenomena. First, in the mid-1990s, hostility expressed toward immigrants and immigration by the Sierra Club (among other groups) drove a wedge between environmentalism and Latinos, as 87% of all Latinos are within two generations of the immigration experience. Second, whereas larger environmental groups focused on pollution and other forms of environmental degradation as well as conservation of natural and wild spaces, minority Americans showed less engagement in these issues and were affected more directly by air and water pollution and its consequences—phenomena that more directly affect communities of color. "Environmental justice" movements and organizations emerged to fill the gap left by the somewhat diminished focus of large "mainstream" groups on minority populations.

The Wheeler et al. (1982) data set of white‐collar defendants is used to compare men's and women's socioeconomic profiles and occupations and the nature of their illegalities. The results show that a minority of men but only a handful of women fit the image of a highly placed white‐collar offender. Most employed women were clerical workers, and most employed men were managers or administrators. Women were more likely to be nonwhite, less likely to have completed college, and owned less in economic assets. Men were more likely to work in crime groups and to use organizational resources in carrying out crimes, and their attempted economic gains were higher. Occupational marginality, not mobility, better explains the form of women's white‐collar crime. The results raise questions about white‐collar arrest data and the nature of crime and offenders in white‐collar sentencing samples. They compel an investigation of the multiple injuences of gender, class, and race relations in generating varieties of white‐collar crime and in being caught and prosecuted for white‐collar crime.

This article elucidates how members of the two largest immigration groups living in Germany (i.e., immigrants with a Russian or Turkish background) deal with and integrate values and practices deriving from their ethnocultural minority group and the larger society. A special emphasis of this article is on how context conditions form opportunities for varieties of acculturation and identification. The pattern of results suggests a taxonomy of immigrants' acculturation, consisting of Blended Integration, Alternating Integration, Separation, and Dis‐Integration. This taxonomy is based on immigrants' integration of cultural aspects, while it proved to be analytically useful to conceptualize their national self‐allocation as an additional dimension. Immigrants' development of these different varieties was found to be linked to their perceptions of compatibility and acceptance by the larger society. Relative to immigrants with a Turkish background, immigrants with a Russian background experience less deep incompatibilities between values and practices deriving from the cultural groups, thus having more latitude for acculturation and integration. In contrast, immigrants with a Turkish background experience more challenges to acculturation and integration as a result of being confronted more frequently with incompatibilities and experience less societal acceptance. Further conceptual and societal implications are discussed.
