Auswahlbibliographie. - Breit einsetzbar. (2) (Gerhard Kempf)
Clinical Global Impression – Corrections (CGI-C) – deutsche Übersetzung
In: Forensische Psychiatrie, Psychologie, Kriminologie, Band 14, Heft 3, S. 328-335
ISSN: 1862-7080
B. Frauen, Jugendliche), anderen Ratern/Raterinnen (z. B. Sozialarbeiter, Justizvollzugsbeamte) sowie der Retest-Reliabilität beschäftigen.

Global perspectives on interventions in forensic therapeutic communities: a practitioner's guide
In: Issues in forensic psychology
"Global Perspectives on Interventions in Forensic Therapeutic Communities: A Practitioner's Guide explores the validity and effectiveness of secure settings as therapeutic communities (TCs). Rooted in practice, this book examines the transferability of approaches within international TCs to other forensic settings, while considering how the environment contributes to effectiveness. In this volume, Akerman and Shuker bring together leading clinicians from across the world to offer insight into critical topics, including the impact of gang membership on therapeutic process and the community, how core creative therapies are integrated, and how the model is applied in international settings and across varied contexts. Leading clinicians draw on rare reports and papers to explain the therapeutic community model while keeping the diverse contexts within which it is practiced in mind. The book provides a much-needed global perspective on the diverse role TCs have across forensic services This ground-breaking book is valuable reading for forensic and clinical psychologists, counsellors, social workers, and psychiatrists working in secure prison or rehabilitation settings, as well as students in these fields"--

What are prisons for?
In: What is it for? series
"What does a good prison look like? More than eleven million people are currently locked up in prisons across the world, but does that mean that prison actually works? The answer usually depends on what people believe and feel about crime, punishment and what happens inside prisons. The deep social and personal impact of prisons demands that we try to search for a better understanding of the evidence and ideas that have made prisons so ubiquitous. Hindpal Singh Bhui, with 25 years' experience of visiting and working in prisons worldwide, argues that we need to look at who is sent there and why, to disentangle reality from ideology and myth. Introducing the competing histories of prisons and allowing the voices of prisoners, prison staff and victims to be heard, he asks whether there is a better way to achieve what society wants from its prisons." --
; "We should not feel indifferent about each other" is the inspirational quote which led to the focus of my diploma thesis about the historical and sociopolitical development of the penitentiary. In order to better understand the penal system as it currently exists, an overview of the historical development is provided. This overview shows how the main purpose of imprisonment has changed over the years. Retaliation is no longer the main goal of penitentiaries but the ensurance of a safe community and the convicts successful reintegration into society. The convicts legal status has also considerably changed over time, to the extent that there is an increasingly differentiated approach to every individual's case and their alleged convictions. Furthermore, research suggests that inmates are generally no longer oppressed by prison guards but are handled in a more respectful and trusted way. The thesis concludes with a closer look at current prisonment laws, analyzing whether what is prescribed in theory is actually implemented in practice. ; vorgelegt von Martina Martinović ; Abweichender Titel laut Übersetzung des Verfassers/der Verfasserin ; Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz, Diplomarbeit, 2018 ; (VLID)3512119
