Ethical aspects of hunting tourism in Serbia

The aim of this paper is to examine contemporary moral controversies about
hunting tourism in Serbia in the context of defined value orientations and
norms of ethics of hunting tourism, as a branch of applied ethics. On the one
hand, this paper summarizes conceptual definitions and specificities of
hunting tourism, as a special form of tourism, and the crucial value
postulates derived from the assumptions of the concept of sustainable
development and biodiversity conservation, and philosophical, theological and
legal settings of man?s attitude towards animals and their welfare, as well
as the standard code of hunting ethics and issues of business ethics in
hunting tourism, on the other. The paper also cites some examples of
ethically problematic phenomena in modern hunting tourism in Serbia and
offers possible solutions to overcome them.
