Funding information: International Visegrad Fund Grant Number IVF 22230264. This article presents the results of a survey conducted in the first half of 2023. A total of 812 questionnaires were obtained from current and potential consumers (individual and B2B) in the Visegrad countries. The survey's goal was to find out how consumers perceive and evaluate the quality and pro-ecological factors/challenges of the products of the electrical machinery industry, in the context of their declared personal purchases. Among other things, it sought to establish the actions consumers expect from manufacturers if they want to increase the market share of good-quality and environmentally friendly products. Improvements to the quality of products, with reductions in their negative environmental impact throughout their life cycle, were noticed most in Hungary and Poland. In all countries surveyed, consumers agreed most strongly with the statement that to increase the market share of good quality and environmentally friendly products, producers should enable recycling, disposal, and so on, and improve the availability of information.

Federal Procurement: Better Guidance and Monitoring Needed to Assess Purchases of Environmentally Friendly Products
A letter report issued by the General Accounting Office with an abstract that begins "The federal government buys about $200 billion worth of goods and services each year. Through its purchasing decisions, the federal government can signal its commitment to preventing pollution, reducing solid waste, increasing recycling, and stimulating markets for environmentally friendly products. The Resource Conservation and Recovery Act of 1976 (RCRA) directs the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to identify products made with recycled waste materials or solid waste by-products and to develop guidance for purchasing these products. The act also requires procuring agencies to establish programs for purchasing them. This report examines efforts by federal agencies to (1) implementation of RCRA requirements for procuring products with recycled content and (2) the purchase of environmentally preferable and bio-based products. EPA accelerated its efforts in the 1990s to identify recycled-content products, but the status of agencies' efforts to implement the RCRA purchasing requirements for these products is uncertain. The four major procuring agencies report that, for many reasons, their procurement practices have not changed to increase their purchases of environmentally preferable and bio-based products. One reason for the lack of change is that EPA and the U.S. Department of Agriculture have been slow to develop and implement the programs."

Environmentally Friendly Apparel Products: The Effects of Value Perceptions
In: Social behavior and personality: an international journal, Band 46, Heft 8, S. 1373-1384

The aim of the study was to investigate consumers' value perceptions of apparel companies' activities in regard to environmentally friendly apparel products. We recruited women living in USA to obtain 593 responses for statistical analysis of the data. The results suggest that the fit
between environmentally friendly products and a fast fashion brand is important for fashion consumers, and a good fit of the fast fashion brand with sustainability causes increases consumers' perceptions of the fit between the parent brand and the sustainable extension line. Consumers' perceptions
of cause-effectiveness value and monetary value of the extension line were each found to have an impact on both their purchase intention and their willingness to pay a premium price. These findings contribute to both academia and fast fashion retailers interested in corporate social responsibility.
