Through-out the weekend, several different groups met to discuss the "state of Individual Events" an offer suggestions for the future. Each group developed a list of resolutions which was presented to the entire body at the end of the Conference. Since this group was not a legislative body, the resolutions were not presented as motions for voting; instead, they were offered as suggestions for the Forensic community. During the final session of the Developmental Conference on Individual Events, the following resolutions were endorsed by the participants in attendance.

This report is a collection of contributions presented in the 2nd International Workshop for Validation of Geo-information Products for Crisis Management- VALgEO 2010- organized by the JRC on October 11-13, 2010. This year, the purpose of VALgEO was to explore new avenues in the validation of geo-spatial information derived from Web-based open source data, crowd-sourcing and earth-observation data in the context of crisis management. Because the ultimate goal of these technologies is to benefit the end-user crisis management community, another major challenge is the commitment to user-centered designs for the effective usability of the information. Hence, the workshop addressed also the issue of usability of geo-spatial information for crisis management, with particular emphasis on its readability. Readability was addressed here as not only the visual perception of information contained in a product, but also cognition which deals with the users thought processes, prior experiences and memory. The conference proceedings reflect the work presented and discussed during the workshop. The chapters are organized following the four thematic sessions: validation of crisis geo-information following the disasters of 2010 ; best practices in validation and quality assessment of rapid crisis geo-information ; validation and quality control of new web-based source, social networking and crowd-sourcing tools for mapping of crisis information ; readability of crisis information: implementation and evaluation of methods of dynamic cartographic visualization.
