Les modèles en blocs ont été étroitement associés avec l'analyse des réseaux sociaux et utilisent souvent des matrices symétriques individus-par-individus où chaque case décrit un lien entre deux individus. Mais des blocs semblables, et même équivalents, peuvent être obtenus par l'analyse classificatoire. La classification croisée -- le croisement cartésien d'une classification des individus avec une classification des variables descriptives -- permet la généralisation de la construction des blocs et identifie aussi les blocs les plus statistiquement significatifs dans l'ensemble des données.

A study was undertaken to test for anchoring effects when numerical probabilities were elicited for carcinogen hazard designations. Subjects were asked to assign probabilities to both probable and possible. The sequence was randomly varied so that half of the subjects evaluated probable first and half evaluated possible first. While there was no consensus on the numerical probabilistic meanings assigned to these verbal expressions, in general, probable was assigned a higher probability than possible and there were specific values that were assigned frequently, indicating some consistency in interpretation. There appeared to be a fairly constant scaling factor between the probabilities assigned to the designations. Anchoring was manifested in two ways: a smaller difference between the designations when they were evaluated in sequence than when they were evaluated in isolation, and assignment of readily accessible "benchmark" values such as 50% and 75%.

The study aims to explore the lifestyle profile of adult individuals with cardiovascular and endocrine diseases in Cyprus. Age and sex-specific analyses were applied. A representative sample of the general adult population was recruited during 2018–2019 using stratified sampling among the five government-controlled municipalities of the Republic of Cyprus. Data on Mediterranean diet adherence, quality of sleep, smoking status, physical activity, Body Mass Index, and the presence of cardiovascular and endocrine diseases were collected using a validated questionnaire. Diseases were classified according to the International Classification of Diseases, Tenth Revision (ICD-10). A total of 1140 men and women over 18 years old (range: 18–94) participated in the study. The prevalence of cardiovascular and endocrine diseases among the adult general population of Cyprus was 24.8% and 17.2%, respectively, with a higher prevalence of cardiovascular diseases in men, and a higher prevalence of endocrine diseases in women. Among individuals with cardiovascular disease, 23.3% were aged between 18–44 years old, while the corresponding percentage among endocrine disease individuals was 48%. The prevalence of smoking, physical activity, a low adherence to the Mediterranean diet, poor quality of sleep and obesity among the study population was 35.5%, 48.0%, 32.9%, 39.0% and 13.6%, respectively. Individuals with cardiovascular and endocrine diseases were characterized by poor quality of sleep, inadequate physical activity, and a higher BMI. This is the first study in Cyprus exploring the profile of individuals with cardiovascular and endocrine diseases in Cyprus. Health promotion and educational programs focusing on the importance of sleep quality, healthier dietary habits, physical activity, and lower BMIs among people with cardiovascular and endocrine diseases should be developed.

Etats, syndromes et classes polythétiques: l'opérationalisation de l'analyse de classifications croisées dans la recherche dans les sciences du comportement. Par une analyse détaillée de la notion de classification et de la nomenclature de certains problèmes du comportement, les auteurs affinent les concepts de syndrome, de classe, de modèle et de type idéal, tout en précisant les relations étroites entre eux. La méthode de classifications croisées fournit un moyen d'opérationalisation de ces considérations. L'échantillonage d'expériences (ES), qui introduit des variables d'état mental et d'environnement immédiat, fournit un nouvel instrument de recherche. Ensemble ces développements constituent la méthodologie de recherche actuellement employée dans deux programmes importants de recherche sur le comportement: un sur l'anxiété, l'autre sur l'utilisation des drogues. La combinaison de ces deux techniques met en lumière des aspects nouveaux de la relation entre syndromes, analyse et modèles.

В статье представлены результаты классификационного анализа вынужденной миграции из зоны проведения антитеррористической операции (АТО) на Донбассе. Вынужденная миграция – это миграционные потоки, причиной которых является угроза жизни и благосостоянию вследствие природных, техногенных или политических (например, войны и межнациональные конфликты) причин. Использованы классификационные признаки вынужденной внутренней миграции в Украине: правовой статус мигрантов, способ реализации перемещения, количество мигрантов, повторяемость актов переезда, расстояние миграции, продолжительность пребывания на новом месте жительства, добровольность–вынужденность переезда, причины и цели миграции. Установлено, что вынужденная внутренняя миграция в Украине обладает «гибридным» характером, одновременно являясь групповой и семейной, отчасти постоянной (часть мигрантов не хотят возвращаться в места, где проживали до начала военного конфликта), отчасти временной (часть мигрантов вернулись спустя менее чем три месяца), отчасти маятниковой (часть мигрантов периодическивозвращаются в зону конфликта на работу, а затем снова уезжают на новое место жительства); миграция из зоны конфликта на востоке Украины является политической, военной и экономической, основными причинами которой являются боевые действия, экономический кризис и отсутствие работы в зоне конфликта. ; The results of the classification analysis of reluctant migration from the zone of conducting of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) in Donbass have been presented in the article. It has been substantiated that legal definition of «internally displaced persons» is not entirely correct from the sociological point of view since the term «displaced» indicates objectiveness of migration and presumes the presence of a subject who moves them, which is not always the case. Sociologically, it is more justified to use the concept «reluctant internal migrants» regarding migrants from the conflict zone. This concept is recognized universally by the world sociology. Reluctant migration relates to migration flows, caused by a threat to life and welfare due to natural, man-made or political causes (for example, wars and ethnic conflicts). In order to propose effective measures for the social adaptation of migrants from the ATO zone, to develop measures to respond similar risks and to reduce their impact on social actors, analysis of the reluctant internal migration in Ukraine has been carried out using the following classification characteristics: legal status of migrants, mode of implementation of migration, number of migrants, frequency of relocation, distance of migration, length of stay at a new place of residence, voluntary-involuntary relocation, reasons and purposes of migration. It has been established that the reluctant internal migration in Ukraine has a «hybrid» character, being simultaneous group and family one, partly constant (some migrants do not want to return to places where they lived before the outbreak of a military conflict), partly temporary (some of migrants returned less than after three month), partly repeating (a part of migrants periodically return to the conflict zone to work, and then again leave for a new place of residence); migration from the conflict zone in the Eastern Ukraine is political, military and economic one, the main reasons of which are fighting, economic crisis and lack of work in the conflict zone; migrants from the conflict zone in the East of Ukraine refer to reluctant migrants with temporary status. Theoretical arguments and results of empirical studies, that were conducted in Ukraine over the last three years with the purpose of describing the peculiarities of migration from the zone of armed conflict, have been used as the evidence base. ; У статті представлені результати класифікаційного аналізу вимушеної міграції із зони проведення антитерористичної операції (АТО) на Донбасі. Вимушена міграція – це міграційні потоки, причиною яких є загроза життю і добробуту внаслідок природних, техногенних або політичних (наприклад, війни і міжнаціональні конфлікти) причин. Використано класифікаційні ознаки вимушеної внутрішньої міграції в Україні: правовий статус мігрантів, спосіб реалізації переміщення, кількість мігрантів, повторюваність актів переїзду, відстань міграції, тривалість перебування на новому місці проживання, добровільність-вимушеність переїзду, причини і цілі міграції. Встановлено, що вимушена внутрішня міграція в Україні має «гібридний» характер, одночасно є груповою і сімейною, частково постійною (частина мігрантів не хочуть повертатися в місця, де проживали до початку військового конфлікту), частково тимчасовою (частина мігрантів повернулися менш ніж за три місяці), частково маятниковою (частина мігрантів періодично повертаються до зони конфлікту працювати, а потім знову їдуть до нового місця проживання); міграція із зони конфлікту на сході України є політичною, військовою та економічною, основними причинами якої є бойові дії, економічна криза і відсутність роботи в зоні конфлікту.
