Мета статті — дослідити можливості взаємодії між культурологією та цифровими гуманітарними науками для розуміння векторів подальшого розвитку обох галузей у контексті вивчення питань, актуалізованих цифровою культурою. Методологія дослідження передбачає використання таких загальнонаукових методів, як аналіз та синтез. Метод аналізу застосовано для визначення специфіки та потенціалу цифрових гуманітарних наук та культурології, а метод синтезу — для встановлення зв'язків між цими дисциплінами у межах можливих варіацій співробітництва та взаємного збагачення. Наукова новизна роботи полягає у визначенні спільних інтересів та способів практичної взаємодії між цифровими гуманітарними науками та культурологією. Висновки. Зазначено, що цифрові гуманітарні науки — це міждисциплінарна галузь, яка націлена на поєднання гуманітарних наук з новими технологіями та обчислювальними методами. На основі аналізу інструментарію та видів діяльності цифрових гуманітарних наук та концептуальних підходів у галузі культурології було визначено й проаналізовано такі варіанти взаємодії: дослідження соціальних мереж, застосування методу дистанційного читання за допомогою програми Voyant Tools для визначення культурних закономірностей усередині одного тексту чи між кількома текстами, візуальні дослідження з використанням методу культурної аналітики Л. Мановича, диджиталізація культурної спадщини, популяризація культурологічних досліджень через застосування сучасних мультимедійних форм представлення інформації. Серед сучасних мультимедійних форм особлива увага приділена можливостям аудіовізуального есе. Зазначено, що культурологія здатна доповнити технічний інструментарій цифрових гуманітарних наук експертною оцінкою культурних процесів, зумовлених новими цифровими технологіями.

Проаналізовано процеси еволюції політичних, світоглядних, етично-моральних, матеріально-побутових та професійних поглядів і позицій художньої інтелігенції України під час Української революції 1917–1921 рр. Показано, що художня інтелігенція України, рятуючись під гаслами аполітичності від нав'язливої політики багатьох різних влад, прагнула продовжувати улюблену роботу заради не тільки виживання, але й потреби професійної та художньої творчості. І, нарешті, висвітлена трансформація позицій художньої інтелігенції України стосовно ставлення до радянської влади, оскільки остаточно була встановлена в Україні та схиляла на свою сторону стару художню інтелігенцію, без якої про культурний розвиток або культурне життя не могло йтися. ; The aim of this paper is to analyze the processes of evolution of views and convictions of the artistic intelligentsia of Ukraine relating to the attitude to different authorities and, first of all, to the Soviet authorities, within the period of the 1917-1921 Ukrainian Revolution.Research methodology. In this study the author uses the principles and methods of historical and culturological as well as comparative analysis of the events and phenomena concerning the interrelations of the old artistic intelligentsia and various authorities, first of all, the Soviet ones, during the 1917-1921 Ukrainian Revolution. Results. Drawing on the analysis of the transformation of the views and convictions of the old artistic intelligentsia concerning relations with various authorities, including the Soviet governement, the author studies the fate of not only the various groups of the artistic intelligentsia of Ukraine but also their individual representatives during the 1917-1921 Ukrainian Revolution. The processes of evolution of political, ideological, ethical, moral, everyday and professional views and actions of the artistic intelligentsia during that period are analyzed. The paper demonstrates that in spite of the aggressive policy of many authorities, the old artistic intelligentsia of Ukraine being indifferent to political activity continue to work. The study focuses on the transformation of the convictions of the artistic intelligentsia of Ukraine concerning the attitude towards the Soviet power.Novelty. The author studies the processes of interrelations of the old artistic intelligentsia of Ukraine and the Soviet authorities during the 1917-1921 Ukrainian Revolution drawing on new factual, mainly archival material. Special attention is paid to the identification of peviously unknown information and names of artists participating in the artistic life of those days.The practical significance. The information contained in this paper can be used in the process of further culturological research into the issues of cultural life in Ukraine, Ukrainian and world history and theory of culture. It can also be used by students, postgraduates, doctoral students and lecturers in the process of studying the issues of culturology.

Проаналізовано процеси еволюції політичних, світоглядних, етично-моральних, матеріально-побутових та професійних поглядів і позицій художньої інтелігенції України під час Української революції 1917–1921 рр. Виявлено та проаналізовано розпорядчі документи царського (імперського) уряду та церковних установ на підросійських землях стосовно утисків і заборони української мови в XVII–XVIIІ ст. Методологія дослідження ґрунтується на принципі історизму, що уможливив розгляд документів царського (імперського) уряду та церковних установ у контексті конкретно-історичних обставин. Звернено увагу, що історичні умови розвитку української мови в XVII–XVIIІ ст. принципово вплинули на її становлення, визначили проблеми, стереотипи і прогалини, які характеризують її сучасне функціонування. Сформульовано висновок, що дії уряду Росії в XVII та XVIII ст., попри епізодичність, мали на меті усунення відмінностей не лише політичного, економічного, автономного укладу України, а й мовної ідентичності українців, що виразно простежуються на прикладі функціонування циркулярів та указів.Ключові слова: українська мова, Наддніпрянщина, царський (імперський) уряд, укази. ; The purpose of the article is to identify and analyze the administrative documents of the tsarist (imperial) government and church institutions in the lands under the Russian rule in relation to the oppression and prohibition of the Ukrainian language in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries.Research methodology is based on the principle of historicism, which made it possible to consider the documents of the tsarist (imperial) government and church institutions in the context of specific historical circumstances.Results. Attention is drawn to the fact that the historical conditions for the development of the Ukrainian language in the 17–18th centuries fundamentally influenced its development, identified the problems, stereotypes and gaps that characterize its modern functioning. It is concluded that the actions of the Russian government in the 17–18th centuries, despite the occasional nature, were aimed at eliminating the differences not only in the political, economic, autonomous structure of Ukraine, but also in the linguistic identity of Ukrainians, which can be clearly seen in the functioning of circulars and decrees.Novelty. The article comprehensively analyzes the main administrative orders of the 17–18th centuries. It is the period of the book Ukrainian language, the content of which provided for the gradual ousting of the Ukrainian language in Russian. It is proved that some of them are not anti-Ukrainian.The practical significance. Автори статті звертають увагу на актуальність культурологічного аналізу подій на Сході України, які значно впливають не лише на політичне, але й на культурне життя країни. Зокрема потребує вирішення питання формування політичної культури і національної культурної ідентичності жителів Сходу України. З 1991 р. їх орієнтації багато в чому визначалися як проросійські. Ґрунтуючись на сучасних соціологічних дослідженнях, автори констатують зміну культурної ідентичності жителів Сходу України з проросійської на проукраїнську. Це свідчить про динаміку культурної ідентичності як соціокультурного утворення і про відносини взаємного доповнення, у яких перебувають політична культура і культурна ідентичність.Ключові слова: політична культура, культурна ідентичність, динаміка культурної ідентичності, нація, самоідентифікація. ; The aim of this paper is to specify the relationship of political culture and cultural identity, as well as to determine the presence of the dynamics of cultural identity and the nature of its changes in the self-identification of the residents of the eastern regions of Ukraine.Research methodology. The article provides an analysis of the data of modern sociological research of the leading sociological centers of Ukraine, their interpretation from the point of view of the culturological approach.Results. It has been found that the mutually intersecting sides of political culture and cultural identity are the sphere of emotions and value judgments, worldview, faith. From the point of view of cultural identity it is a part of the political culture, since for the formation of the reflection in relation to certain political institutions, it is necessary to identify oneself with the cultural tradition for which these institutions are related or, on the contrary, are alien. From the point of view of the cultural approach, the political culture is a part of cultural identity, as it acts as one of the parties or a component of self-identification with an individual with a particular cultural tradition and a multitude of its manifestations. The analysis of the sociological surveys shows that the cultural self-identification of the residents of the Ukrainian part of Luhansk region has undergone significant changes since 2014: the identification with Russian culture has been replaced by pro-Ukrainian orientation. Firstly, this characterizes the phenomenon of cultural identity as a dynamic one, and secondly, it enables to conclude that the systematic education of the population for the political culture, combined with the work on the cultural, educational and leisure activities, allows influencing the cultural self-identification of people, up to and including its cardinal change.Novelty. The paper presents an attempt to analyze the features of the correlation of political culture and cultural identity from the point of view of the cultural approach. The authors substantiate the view of the change of the cultural self-identification of the inhabitants of the East of Ukraine from the pro-Russian to the pro-Ukrainian identity by studying the newest sociological surveys.The practical significance. The results will be used to continue the study of the ethno-cultural identity of the inhabitants of Ukraine.Key words: political culture, cultural identity, dynamics of cultural identity, nation, self-identification.

Проаналізовано проблеми еволюції взаємин старої інтелігенції України з радянською владою наприкінці Української революції 1917–1921 рр. і в перші роки нової економічної політики. При цьому основна увага приді-ляється трансформації поглядів і соціально-політичних позицій різних прошарків інтелігенції щодо радянського режиму в Україні, який змушений був перейти до нової економічної політики, яка втілювалася в Україні дещо пізніше, ніж в Російській Федерації. Показано, що зазначені історичні процеси відбувалися в жорстоких умовах розрухи народного господарства, голоду й епідемій.Ключові слова: українська культура, стара інтелігенція, радянська влада, нова економічна політика, Українська революція, трансформація політичних поглядів інтелігенції, голод. ; The aim of this paper is to analyze the relations between the old intelligentsia and the Soviet government in Ukraine within the period of completion of the Ukrainian revolution of 1917–1921 and the transition to the implementation of the new economic policy by the Bolshevik regime.Research methodology. The author uses methods and principles of culturological and comparative approach, which make it possible to analyze the evolution of the views of the old intelligentsia in relation to the Bolshevik regime in Ukraine and its policy regarding the intelligentsia and Ukrainian culture.Results. The author analyzes a great number of insufficiently studied archive sources, examines complicated and tragic personified fates of various groups of the bourgeois intelligentsia in Ukraine, who suffered both from the cruelty of the Soviet regime and its rulers, and from the economic devastation, hunger and epidemics. The paper demonstrates that the most part of the old intelligentsia did not support the Soviet power and opposed its policy regarding the intellectuals and Ukrainian culture. The intelligentsia interpreted the new economic policy as a transition to the revival of the capitalist system, which had to accelerate the fall of the odious Bolshevik regime.Novelty. The paper is the first attempt to analyze the complicated and tragic relations between the old intelligentsia and the Soviet government in Ukraine drawing on culturological and comparative methodological approaches.The practical significance. The information contained in this paper and its results can be used in the process of further research into the issues of the relations between the old intelligentsia and the Soviet government in Ukraine during the Ukrainian revolution of 1917–1921 and the first years of the new economic policy. This is of great importance especially today, when the Russian Federation pursues an aggressive imperial policy toward Ukraine, its independence, culture, intellectual elite and people. It may be useful when writing methodological recommendations and text-books on the corresponding courses of lectures. Досліджено праці В. Жаботинського, де викладається концепція єврейського національного будівництва. На прикладі поглядів лідера сіонізму в Україні виявлено кореляцію ідей, сформульованих єврейською та українською національними течіями доби модерну. Аналіз текстів В. Жаботинського свідчить про типологічну подібність проблемних питань, які порушують і намагаються вирішити ці рухи: буттєве значення національної ідентичності та факторів її формування; проблема національних маргіналів; важливість міжнаціонального порозуміння. Співзвучність висловлювань представника сіонізму й українських націєцентричних діячів дозволяє висновувати про формування цих ідеологій у діалозі та під впливом один одного. ; The aim of the paper is to analyze the concept of Jewish nation-building by V. Jabotinsky, who is considered to be a leader of the Zionist movement in Ukraine, in terms of correlation of ideas and interactions between Jewish and Ukrainian national modern movements.Research methodology. The author uses a comprehensive culturological approach to examine nationalism and national movements as a general methodological basis of this study. The study also draws on the methodological principles of M. Feller's Ukrainika Judaika (Ukrainian-Jewish studies) as an ethno-cultural science of Ukrainian Jewry in its deep relationship with the Ukrainians. Methods of comparative analysis, synthesis and historicism are also used.Results. Using V. Jabotinsky's (a Zionism leader in Ukraine) intellectual heritage as an example, the author analyzes three groups of issues directly connected with the objectives of the Ukrainian national movement at that time, namely: the issue of the existential importance of national identity and factors of its development; the issue of national fringe elements, deprived of their origins; a program of interethnic understanding, coexistence on a real political basis. The analysis of texts shows the examples of the typological similarity of a large part of the statements of Jewish nationalists and Ukrainian nation-centered leaders. This fact allows us to conclude that there is an interpenetration and mutual influence in the process of the development of the Zionist and Ukrainian national movements. The common features of the historical destinies of two stateless nations represent the similarity of their national existence, the mechanisms of self-preservation and the nation-building as well as the development of the project of the nation future.Novelty. Ukrainian-Jewish studies as an understanding of the productive ways and an insight into the fundamental levels of coexistence of the Ukrainians and the Jewish people do not belong to the traditional themes of Ukrainian culturological thought that results in the scientific novelty of this study.The practical significance. The results of this study can be used to teach normative courses, special courses, electives on the history of culture, the history of Ukrainian philosophy, philosophy of the national idea, Judaism, as well as in the further study of modern national movements in Ukraine in terms of cultural dialogue and mutual enrichment.

Описано генезис зоозахисного руху на початкових етапах трансформації політичної культури українського суспільства в умовах державної незалежності. Розкрито морально-етичну значимість зоозахисної діяльності в контексті ідеї соціального капіталу. Виявлено конфлікт між суспільством та владою у вирішенні проблем поводження з домашніми тваринами. Проаналізовано інституціональну, структурну та функціональну специфіку діяльності із захисту тварин як складової процесу формування громадянського суспільства. Розглянуто варіативність ідейних настанов та способів діяльності активістів у сфері захисту тварин. Виявлено чинники, що стимулювали або уповільнювали структурування зоозахисного руху. ; The aim of this paper is to analyze the animal rights movement as one of the components of forming the civil society in Ukraine in the context of the idea of social capital. Special attention is paid to the personal initiatives of representatives of the public sphere, as well as to the evolution of forms of organization of the animal protection activities. At the same time, special regard is paid to the issues of the self-organization of the activists, the identity and the moral and ethic basis of their activities.Research Methodology. The author uses as a methodological basis of this study the principles and methods of institutional and functional analysis of the political, social, and ethic relations of the civil society and various authorities. The theoretical basis of the study is the concept of social capital by R. D. Pattman.Results. The author presents the genesis of the animal rights movement at the initial stages of the transformation of the political culture of Ukrainian society under the conditions of state independence. The moral and ethical significance of animal protection activities in the context of the idea of social capital is described. The conflict between the society and the authorities in solving the problems of handling domestic animals is discussed. The institutional, structural and functional specific character of animal protection activities is analyzed. The variability of ideological attitudes and methodological approaches of activists in the matter of animal protection is considered. The factors that moderate the structuring of the animal rights movement as a component of the process of civil society formation are identified.Novelty. The author raises the issue of animal rights movement as a factor of transformation of social capital in the Ukrainian society.The practical importance. The information contained in this paper can be used in the process of cultural and socio-political research of the history and theory of Ukrainian civil society. At the same time, it may be useful for writing the methodological recommendations on the corresponding courses of lectures.

Автори статті звертають увагу на актуальність культурологічного аналізу подій на Сході України, які значно впливають не лише на політичне, але й на культурне життя країни. Зокрема потребує вирішення питання формування політичної культури і національної культурної ідентичності жителів Сходу України. З 1991 р. їх орієнтації багато в чому визначалися як проросійські. Ґрунтуючись на сучасних соціологічних дослідженнях, автори констатують зміну культурної ідентичності жителів Сходу України з проросійської на проукраїнську. Це свідчить про динаміку культурної ідентичності як соціокультурного утворення і про відносини взаємного доповнення, у яких перебувають політична культура і культурна ідентичність.Ключові слова: політична культура, культурна ідентичність, динаміка культурної ідентичності, нація, самоідентифікація. ; The aim of this paper is to specify the relationship of political culture and cultural identity, as well as to determine the presence of the dynamics of cultural identity and the nature of its changes in the self-identification of the residents of the eastern regions of Ukraine.Research methodology. The article provides an analysis of the data of modern sociological research of the leading sociological centers of Ukraine, their interpretation from the point of view of the culturological approach.Results. It has been found that the mutually intersecting sides of political culture and cultural identity are the sphere of emotions and value judgments, worldview, faith. From the point of view of cultural identity it is a part of the political culture, since for the formation of the reflection in relation to certain political institutions, it is necessary to identify oneself with the cultural tradition for which these institutions are related or, on the contrary, are alien. From the point of view of the cultural approach, the political culture is a part of cultural identity, as it acts as one of the parties or a component of self-identification with an individual with a particular cultural tradition and a multitude of its manifestations. The analysis of the sociological surveys shows that the cultural self-identification of the residents of the Ukrainian part of Luhansk region has undergone significant changes since 2014: the identification with Russian culture has been replaced by pro-Ukrainian orientation. Firstly, this characterizes the phenomenon of cultural identity as a dynamic one, and secondly, it enables to conclude that the systematic education of the population for the political culture, combined with the work on the cultural, educational and leisure activities, allows influencing the cultural self-identification of people, up to and including its cardinal change.Novelty. The paper presents an attempt to analyze the features of the correlation of political culture and cultural identity from the point of view of the cultural approach. The authors substantiate the view of the change of the cultural self-identification of the inhabitants of the East of Ukraine from the pro-Russian to the pro-Ukrainian identity by studying the newest sociological surveys.The practical significance. The results will be used to continue the study of the ethno-cultural identity of the inhabitants of Ukraine.Key words: political culture, cultural identity, dynamics of cultural identity, nation, self-identification.

Розглянуто основні напрями та проміжні результати впровадження електронного урядування в Україні у 2014–2017 рр. Показано, що реформування електронного урядування має ознаки комплексності, хоча інтегрованої системи такого урядування не створено. Його розвиток можна розглядати в ширшому контексті — як один із драйверів модернізації України, фактор соціокультурної динаміки, що розширює постмодерністський сегмент української культури. Проте поступ електронного урядування базується на вузькій соціально-економічній основі, не може замінити реальних політичних реформ. Отже, e-gov є новітнім, але не самодостатнім фактором модернізації. ; The aim of the paper is to determine the value of the development of e-governance in Ukraine in 2014–2017 as a factor in socio-cultural dynamics.Research methodology. The study investigates this issue by examining various practices of e-governance in Ukraine and its influences on the public sectors.Results. The principal directions and intermediate results of the implementation of e-governance in Ukraine in 2014–2017 are considered. It has been shown that the reform of e-governance bears the marks of complexity, although an integrated system of such governance has not been created. The greatest success in the Ukrainian e-governance has been achieved in the area of e-participation. The major challenge is a low interactivity of Ukrainian e-services.The development of the Ukrainian e-governance can be considered in the broader context — as one of the drivers of modernization of Ukraine, a factor of socio-cultural dynamics, which extends the postmodernist segment of Ukrainian culture. However, the progress of e-governance takes place on a narrow socio-economic basis; it cannot substitute the real political reforms. The development of the e-governance is not a self-sufficient factor of the modernization.Novelty. The author substantiates the hypothesis on the media as one of the most important nonclassic «drivers» of the secondary modernization not only in the political-economic, but also in the cultural sector.The practical significance. The information contained in this article may be useful for teaching the various media courses, the media studies and the theory of modernization.

Проаналізовано проблеми еволюції взаємин старої інтелігенції України з радянською владою наприкінці Української революції 1917–1921 рр. і в перші роки нової економічної політики. При цьому основна увага приді-ляється трансформації поглядів і соціально-політичних позицій різних прошарків інтелігенції щодо радянського режиму в Україні, який змушений був перейти до нової економічної політики, яка втілювалася в Україні дещо пізніше, ніж в Російській Федерації. Показано, що зазначені історичні процеси відбувалися в жорстоких умовах розрухи народного господарства, голоду й епідемій.Ключові слова: українська культура, стара інтелігенція, радянська влада, нова економічна політика, Українська революція, трансформація політичних поглядів інтелігенції, голод. ; The aim of this paper is to analyze the relations between the old intelligentsia and the Soviet government in Ukraine within the period of completion of the Ukrainian revolution of 1917–1921 and the transition to the implementation of the new economic policy by the Bolshevik regime.Research methodology. The author uses methods and principles of culturological and comparative approach, which make it possible to analyze the evolution of the views of the old intelligentsia in relation to the Bolshevik regime in Ukraine and its policy regarding the intelligentsia and Ukrainian culture.Results. The author analyzes a great number of insufficiently studied archive sources, examines complicated and tragic personified fates of various groups of the bourgeois intelligentsia in Ukraine, who suffered both from the cruelty of the Soviet regime and its rulers, and from the economic devastation, hunger and epidemics. The paper demonstrates that the most part of the old intelligentsia did not support the Soviet power and opposed its policy regarding the intellectuals and Ukrainian culture. The intelligentsia interpreted the new economic policy as a transition to the revival of the capitalist system, which had to accelerate the fall of the odious Bolshevik regime.Novelty. The paper is the first attempt to analyze the complicated and tragic relations between the old intelligentsia and the Soviet government in Ukraine drawing on culturological and comparative methodological approaches.The practical significance. The information contained in this paper and its results can be used in the process of further research into the issues of the relations between the old intelligentsia and the Soviet government in Ukraine during the Ukrainian revolution of 1917–1921 and the first years of the new economic policy. This is of great importance especially today, when the Russian Federation pursues an aggressive imperial policy toward Ukraine, its independence, culture, intellectual elite and people. It may be useful when writing methodological recommendations and text-books on the corresponding courses of lectures. This paper focuses on the political language symbolism used during the political protests in Ukraine (in 1990, 2000-2001, 2004, 2013-14). Firstly, author discusses the strategies used by the slogan writes during the political protests and shows that they were aimed at mobilizing civil consensus. Secondly, author is interested in the evolution of the language produced during the ongoing protest in Ukraine, and how it delineates the space for the expression of political agenda.
