The continuous growth of the fashion industry leaves tons of discarded clothing and garments. One way to address this issue is by upcycling or assembling worn or leftover garments into a new piece of clothing. With the growing sustainable awareness in Indonesia, consumers have started to look for clothing brands applying a sustainable practice. The research investigated the external and internal factors that could affect sales as well as brand awareness and identified the marketing strategy of a new upcycling clothing brand in Indonesia, Kawan. The research was conducted by understanding the external and internal factors using qualitative and quantitative methods. The internal data were from interviews with the owner of Kawan, customers and potential customers of Kawan. They were analyzed by the Valuable, Rare, Imperfectly Imitable, Organization (VRIO) and Marketing Mix (Product, Price, Place, and Promotion (4P)) framework. Meanwhile, the external factors were examined by the Political, Economic, Sociocultural, Technology, Ecological, Legal (PESTEL) framework and benchmarking. The data for PESTEL analysis were derived from news, reports, and an interview with the owner of Kawan. A survey was also conducted to women in Indonesia to formulate the marketing strategy using Marketing Mix framework. The results show the product characteristics for upcycling clothing brand and essential types of information for the promotion. They are essential in value creation and delivery for upcycling fashion brands. It is expected to contribute to the sales issue that Kawan has experienced and generate the marketing strategy for the issue.

Within the new 'European state architecture', based on the policy of the Western countries that encourage transborder cooperation, the last decade of the second millennium was characterized by considerable 'mutations' in the countries of the former Eastern block. With a strong logistic and financial support, that European project was quickly accepted in the countries of Eastern and Central Europe. Linking of transborder regions by means of direct cooperation, leaning upon the legal framework that allows the official competence of local and regional authorities, with obeying of national laws is the basis and the main reason for acceptance of this European policy which precedes the real European integration. One of such regions, formed in the southern part of the Pannonian plain, is the 'Danube-Drava-Sava Euroregion' that links Hungary, Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, with north-western Bačka, which still has the status of the observer.

The history of the Jews in South Africa began under the rule of the British Empire, and followed a general pattern of increased European settlement in the nineteenth century. Early discovery and settlement from the seventeenth century to the early nineteenth century. The Jews were a tool for strengthening and strengthening diplomatic and military relations between Israel and South Africa. The Jewish community in South Africa differs from the Jewish communities in other African countries. Most of the South African Jews settled there, while the Jews of other countries immigrated most of them to Israel. The Israeli interest in the African continent is due to the fact that Israel is an advanced base for modern colonialism in the region. The reasons for Israel's interest in the black continent were in several aspects, namely: the strategic security aspect, the political aspect, and the economic aspect.

This research aims to formulate a poverty alleviation strategy in Indonesia by empowering Islamic Microfinance Institutions (IMFI) based on political-economic studies. The Indonesian political-economic system is stipulated in Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution and its Explanatory Paragraph, making the people the center of attention for national economic development. The research uses the Analytic Network Process (ANP) method developed by Saaty. The ANP construction uses a model consisting of 3 main clusters, namely Problems, Solutions, and Strategies. The qualitative-quantitative assessment data is determined based on the Saaty Scale obtained through an in-depth interview of 9 expert respondents and practitioners in Islamic economics and finance. The results show that poverty alleviation strategies need to be carried out through cultural and structural approaches. The cultural approach includes revitalizing the concept of the people's economy as stated in the 1945 Constitution, campaigning for using the domestic product, socialization to increase literacy about waqf and zakat, improving the practices of bureaucratic ethics, and strengthening the values of togetherness and anti-monopoly. The strategy at structural approach is carried out by implementing policies to enhance the role of cooperatives in the national economy; increasing the education budget for the poor and needy; increased coordination between authorities; bureaucratic reform; and honest and fair law enforcement against corruption. For the micro-level at the LKMS institution, the cultural approach is carried out by strengthening literacy on Islamic financial instruments, increasing financial inclusion programs, social inclusion programs, and strengthening methods for obtaining funding sources from Islamic financial instruments. On the structural side, it is necessary to improve the professionalism and capability of supporting LKMS, institutional strengthening, internal control and supervision system, improvement of supporting infrastructure, and ...

In academic field, argument is an essential factor of understanding statements. In this regard, the present paper aims to analyse National University Debate Contest (NUDC) 2016 using Toulmin model argumentative structure and its relation with the implied meaning from National University Debate Contest. This paper employs descriptive qualitative analysis to examine the logical pattern of arguments through linguistic expressions that occurred in the debate. The data were taken from NUDC in Mercu Buana University focusing on (part 1) the statement of the government proponent (Bina Nusantara University) and the opposite speaker (Brawijaya University). The data were analysed using the Toulmin model of logical argument. The findings showed that the government opposite speaker very often made the rebuttal claim by showing the weaknesses from the government side; while the government proponent speaker has claimed almost in every pattern of argument proposed by Toulmin model. The paper concludes that both speakers' patterns of argument have utilized Toulmin model such as claims, data, qualifiers, rebutting conditions, and warrants. Even though there are so many grammatical mistake and unwell-organized structure, but the logical structure can be analysed using Toulmin model.

Abstract Based on ethnographic research, the article reflects on experimental surgical practices related to the development of ventricular assist devices (the so-called 'artificial heart'). Focusing on the relationships between animal models and the numerous professionals involved in the experiment, the hypothesis of this article pinpoints the unavoidable game of exposing and protecting all the agents who establish relationships therein, as a condition for understanding and innovating on legitimate grounds. This game, ethnographically followed step by step, meets both scientific and ethical imperatives. The reflection leads us to consider, among other things, the sensitive, decisive character of otherness regarding experimental animals in the course of the experiments. According to the aforementioned hypothesis, this is when notions of participation and disparticipation in the game of otherness with these animal models seem to clarify the economy, simultaneously affective and intelligible, put into practice in the relationships performed therein.
