The European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures (ESFRI) has been created to advise the Competitiveness Council of the European Union on the needs and opportunities to build a strong Research Infrastructure (RI) system, covering all domains of research, providing the most advanced tools that cannot be realized at national level, and that must be accessible to all strongly motivated researchers in order to increase the European science competitiveness.

The extent of electronic presentation of text in small display windows is mushrooming. In the present paper, 4 ways of presenting text in a small display window were examined and compared with a normal page condition: rapid serial visual presentation (RSVP), RSVP with a completion meter, sentence-by-sentence presentation, and sentence-by-sentence presentation with a completion meter. Dependent measures were reading efficiency (speed and comprehension) and preference. For designers of hardware or software with small display windows, the results suggest the following: (a) Though RSVP is disliked by readers, the present methods of allowing self-pacing and regressions in RSVP are efficient and feasible, unlike earlier tested methods; (b) slower reading in RSVP should be achieved by increasing pauses between sentences or by repeating sentences, not by decreasing the presentation rate within a sentence; (c) completion meters do not interfere with performance and are usually preferred; (d) the space-saving sentence-by-sentence format is as efficient and as preferred as the normal page format.

Oil production forecasting is one of the essential processes for organizations and governments to make necessary economic plans. This paper proposes a novel hybrid intelligence time series model to forecast oil production from two different oil fields in China and Yemen. This model is a modified ANFIS (Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System), which is developed by applying a new optimization algorithm called the Aquila Optimizer (AO). The AO is a recently proposed optimization algorithm that was inspired by the behavior of Aquila in nature. The developed model, called AO-ANFIS, was evaluated using real-world datasets provided by local partners. In addition, extensive comparisons to the traditional ANFIS model and several modified ANFIS models using different optimization algorithms. Numeric results and statistics have confirmed the superiority of the AO-ANFIS over traditional ANFIS and several modified models. Additionally, the results reveal that AO is significantly improved ANFIS prediction accuracy. Thus, AO-ANFIS can be considered as an efficient time series tool ; Taikomosios informatikos katedra ; Vytauto Didžiojo universitetas

Purpose: Polypharmacy, medication errors and adverse drug events are frequent among nursing home residents. Errors can occur at any step of the medication use process. We aimed to review interventions aiming at optimization of any step of medication use in nursing homes. Methods: We narratively reviewed quantitative as well as qualitative studies, observational and experimental studies that described interventions, their effects as well as barriers and enablers to implementation. We prioritized recent studies with relevant findings for the European setting. Results: Many interventions led to improvements in medication use. However, because of outcome heterogeneity, comparison between interventions was difficult. Prescribing was the most studied aspect of medication use. At the micro-level, medication review, multidisciplinary work, and more recently, patient-centered care components dominated. At the macro-level, guidelines and legislation, mainly for specific medication classes (e.g., antipsychotics) were employed. Utilization of technology also helped improve medication administration. Several barriers and enablers were reported, at individual, organizational, and system levels. Conclusion: Overall, existing interventions are effective in optimizing medication use. However there is a need for further European well-designed and large-scale evaluations of under-researched intervention components (e.g., health information technology, patient-centered approaches), specific medication classes (e.g., antithrombotic agents), and interventions targeting medication use aspects other than prescribing (e.g., monitoring). Further development and uptake of core outcome sets is required. Finally, qualitative studies on barriers and enablers for intervention implementation would enable theory-driven intervention design.

This book shows you how to use social media analytics to optimize your business performance. The tools discussed will prepare you to create and implement an effective digital marketing strategy. From understanding the data and its sources to detailed metrics, dashboards, and reports, this book is a robust tool for anyone seeking a tangible return on investment from social media and digital marketing. Social Media Analytics Strategy speaks to marketers who do not have a technical background and creates a bridge into the digital world. Comparable books are either too technical for marketers (aimed at software developers) or too basic and do not take strategy into account. They also lack an overview of the entire process around using analytics within a company project. They don't go into the everyday details and also don't touch upon common mistakes made by marketers. This book highlights patterns of common challenges experienced by marketers from entry level to directors and C-level executives. Social media analytics are explored and explained using real-world examples and interviews with experienced professionals and founders of social media analytics companies. What You'll Learn: Get a clear view of the available data for social media marketing and how to access all of it Make use of data and information behind social media networks to your favor Know the details of social media analytics tools and platforms so you can use any tool in the market Apply social media analytics to many different real-world use cases Obtain tips from interviews with professional marketers and founders of social media analytics platforms Understand where social media is heading, and what to expect in the future.
This paper aims to identify and evaluate differences in the fundraising strategies implemented by different types of zakah institutions in Indonesia, to optimize the country's potential for zakah collection. This study using a qualitative approach, which using semi-structured interviews conducted with zakah organizations in Indonesia. The main finding suggests that differences in fundraising strategies indeed exist. Corporate and government zakah agencies tend to use traditional fundraising strategies, with a partnership approach for collecting zakah and a community-oriented approach for communicating zakah. In contrast, private zakah agencies tend to use market-oriented fundraising strategies allied with retail collection approach and an individual communication approach. It also suggested that the market-oriented fundraising strategy has resulted in higher and more sustainable revenues, indicating consistency with the resource dependence theory of fundraising.DOI:10.15408/aiq.v10i1.6191
