A former Iranian political prisoner discusses how the Iranian government censors journalists. Discussion opens with a look at the six major entities that enforce government censorship: Supreme National Security Council, the judiciary, security agencies, Office of the Friday Prayer Leaders, so-called Hezbollahi groups, & economic actors (eg, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps with its expansive reach) within journalism. It is argued that the censorship results in the dissemination of misinformation regarding international diplomacy & the economy to the Iranian public.
