There is little knowledge of this, but rabbits have magic powers. This is why magicians often use them in their towers, for example to show them on their hat. Everyone believes that it is the Gician who takes the tour, but this is not the case. It is the rabbit. Before they become magician (and can be seen), rabbits need to master the magic. Before entering a real magic school, they pass on a book of formulas. And hopefully we managed to retrieve a copy of it. In this book, the junior rabbit has to learn the formulas that bring together a multitude of carrots to make it a single big one that will be kept throughout the winter. And yes, rabbits are not magicians to make shows, but because they need them to store their food. To do this, rabbits need to align their carrots in front of them and quote a magic formula. Please note that rabbits cannot stop in the middle of their formula. It is impossible to touch the carrots without which the magic disappears and the starting rabbit ends up with its original carrots. The formulas therefore apply to carrots for processing. The formulas are carried out in several stages. Intermediate productions are large carrots of different colours. First level of mastery of magic: to transform a nor-male carrot into a giant carrot, the geantum formula is used. International audience Since 2008 general elections environment for democracy in the country is becoming conducive with each passing day, thus resulting in democratic consolidation. Sub-systemic institutionalisation in the form of structural and constitutional development (eighteenth amendment), and sociological institutionalisation in the form of normative and perceptional development about democracy being a normal and natural process are important steps in democratic consolidation. This study intends to explore the causality relation between the Eighteenth Constitutional Amendment and the processes of democratic consolidation in Pakistan. It seeks to answer the question that how is 18th Amendment nurturing democratic norms and institutions, and why is it taken as an optimistic factor for democratic consolidation in Pakistan. The study hypothesizes that conceptualization and operationalization of the semantics of 18th Amendment. ; Depuis les élections générales de 2008, l'environnement de la démocratie dans le pays devient chaque jour plus propice, entraînant ainsi une consolidation démocratique. International audience This article is a summary of my PhD dissertation with a focus on the issue of representation in the American controversy. It contends that the American colonists and the Scots imagined two competing versions of Britishness that both claimed to be based on the "English liberties". Until 1776, the Americans considered themselves to be British as well as Americans, thus forging a hybrid identity. Britishness, as they understood it, meant Englishness and the antithesis of Scottishness, which they identified with Jacobitism, tyranny, and Catholicism. The Scots for their part imagined their own hybrid identity mixing Scottishness with Britishness. They articulated opposed notions of empire and representation to that the American Patriots supported , thus asserting a commitment to the principle of parliamentary sovereignty over the empire, the belief in the perfection of the constitution, and loyalty to the Hanoverian dynasty, which were the fundamentals of the emerging British identity. The imperial crisis arguably weakened the empire but was also a catalyst for Britishness, which was built not merely in opposition to a French "Other" but also in opposition to an American one.

For its purpose, mention of the commitments undertaken in defence of Human Rights by the Spanish government is made, as well as those recommendations for the legal treatment of this phenomenon submitted by various international institutions. International audience Over the past two decades, the private rental sector has grown significantly in Japan. Once an overlooked sector of the market, it has been seized by the financial industry to the point of becoming the second largest REIT residential market in the world. This paper explores the development of residential REITs in Japan, in a context of demographic decline and urban shrinkage. It highlights the strategies of major Japanese real estate groups to diversify their activities and strengthen their control over popular downtown Tokyo neighbourhoods, building on government initiatives to revitalize land markets and stabilize the banking system through real estate financial investment vehicles. As the paper shows, the need to secure financial investors' expectations of attractive returns has led REIT asset managers to target the vast majority of their leasing activity to Japan's young, "promising" corporate employees. By pointing to the mediation of large corporations in the landlord-tenant relationship, the paper brings these neglected actors into the framework of financialized rental housing, and puts the analysis into the broader context of employment. ; Au cours des deux dernières décennies, le secteur locatif privé a connu une croissance importante au Japon. This paper explores how a diversity policy is legitimized along moral, pragmatic and cognitive dimensions in a challenging environment (conflicting demands with regard to diversity). In this case study-based paper, we use evidence gathered from 92 interviews with members of key stakeholder groups, observation, and secondary data sources in a French business school. We find that perceptions about the legitimacy of a diversity policy may be ambivalent when legitimacy is evaluated along several dimensions. We conclude that legitimizing a diversity policy requires step-by-step management, with the organization selecting and combining various legitimization strategies over time. ; Cet article explore comment une politique de diversité est légitimée en termes moral, pragmatique et cognitif dans un environnement difficile (exigences contradictoires en matière de diversité). Summary This article arises with the aim of making a scarcely explored right visible: that of indigenous peoples in Mexico to maintain and develop their own legal systems in accordance with their own co-movision, customs and cultural identity. This is protected by constitutional and conventional cuts to autonomy and self-determination. I would like to point out that it is not my intention to exhaust with the following reflections the breadth and diversity of the present topic, since it would be impossible to carry out this task. My primary objective will therefore be to open up the debate and dialogue on a right which, in my view, I consider essential for indigenous peoples to be able to maintain their way of life. ; Resumen El presente artículo surge con el propósito de visibilizar un derecho poco explorado: el de los pueblos indígenas en México a mantener y desarrollar sus propios sistemas jurídicos conforme a su propia cos-movisión, costumbres e identidad cultural. El cual se encuentra protegido por los de-rechos constitucionales y convencionales a la autonomía y a la libre determinación. He de advertir que no es mi intención agotar con las siguientes reflexiones la amplitud y diversidad de la presente temática, pues sería imposible llevar a cabo dicha tarea. International audience Coccolithophores (calcifying phytoplankton) form extensive blooms in temperate and subpolar oceans as evidenced from ocean-color satellites. This study examines the potential to detect coccolithophore blooms with BioGeoChemical-Argo (BGC-Argo) floats, autonomous ocean profilers equipped with bio-optical and physicochemical sensors. We first matched float data to ocean-color satellite data of calcite concentration to select floats that sampled coccolithophore blooms. We identified two floats in the Southern Ocean, which measured the particulate beam attenuation coefficient (c p) in addition to two core BGC-Argo variables, Chlorophyll-a concentration ([Chl-a]) and the particle backscattering coefficient (b bp). We show that coccolithophore blooms can be identified from floats by distinctively high values of (1) the b bp /c p ratio, a proxy for the refractive index of suspended particles, and (2) the b bp /[Chl-a] ratio, measurable by any BGC-Argo float. The latter thus paves the way to global investigations of environmental control of coccolithophore blooms and their role in carbon export. Plain Language Summary Coccolithophores are a group of phytoplankton that form an armor of calcite plates. Coccolithophores may form intense blooms which can be identified from space by so-called ocean-color satellites, providing global images of the color of the surface ocean. BioGeoChemical-Argo (BGC-Argo) floats, robots profiling down to 2,000 m with a variety of physicochemical and bio-optical sensors, present an increasingly attractive and cost-effective platform to study phytoplankton blooms and their impact on oceanic biogeochemical cycles. We show that coccolithophore blooms can be detected by BGC-Argo floats with high confidence, hence providing a new way to study them at the global scale as well as their role in sinking carbon.

Summary: Industrial capitalism was characterised by the existence of a disciplinary society, which has now been replaced by the controlling society. The same is linked to information/technology by which employees' space, time and movements are monitored in order to generate their own control and thus achieve greater performance and productivity during their working hours. In this work, the subject matter of the analysis is solely the study of the employment relationships generated by private initiative, excluding employment relationships in the government sector. The method used is based on documentary research of a deductive and interpretative nature of the Mexican positive legal rules. The aim is to analyse the balancing of the employer's rights with regard to the supervision and control exercised by the employer at the employee in contrast to the worker's non-specific fundamental rights, such as the right to privacy. ; Resumen: El capitalismo industrial se caracterizó por la existencia de una sociedad disciplinaria, la cual ha sido reemplazada en la actualidad por la sociedad de control. Esta misma está relacionada con la información-tecnología mediante la cual se vigila el espacio, el tiempo y los movimientos de los empleados para generar su autocontrol y lograr así un mayor desempeño y productividad en su jornada laboral. En este trabajo, el objeto de análisis se concreta exclusivamente en el estudio de las relaciones laborales generadas en la iniciativa privada, excluyendo las relaciones laborales del sector gubernamental. as part of the assignment to the interdisciplinary language subject (FFyL, UBA), we studied the development of disitalics of the peoples of Argentina in school and legislative discourse between 1993 and 2013. This work is a cut in this research, in which we prioritise the analysis of meetings between Spaniards and Indigenous Peoples in the second half of the sixteenth century, as presented in a corpus of school manuals of social sciences for 4 degrees. In the general context of the analysis of the French speech (Maingueneau; 1999, 2005), we studied the nomination 'attack' (Pêcheux, 1975) and its semantic determination domain (Guimarães; 2007, 2011). In particular, we focus on the analysis of the chapters dedicated to the so-called colonial society. Depending on the counterfactual analysis, our corpus is composed of two discursive sequences: the first is made up of the textbooks corresponding to the Federal Education Act (1993) and the second by those governed by the current National Education Act (2006). We observe continuities and discontinuities in the disitalics of the peoples originating in Argentina as regards the violence of their actions. Indeed, although in the school manuals prior to 2006, indigenous peoples are shown to be the only ones to take violent action against Spaniards, in the most recent textbooks not only Spaniards carry out attacks on indigenous tolls, but also inter-ethnic gatherings are conceived as confrontation. We believe that it is in the context of the sanction of the National Education Law and the implication that it brought about, especially in terms of increasing visibility of the original peoples, that the continuities and the changes that have been traced to the material worked are explained. International audience One of the tensions in economics, that has spanned the last few centuries, has undoubtedly been the dichotomy between dialectical materialism and idealism, which ended up laying the foundations between structure and superstructure, taking up the important philosophical questions faced in past centuries. This tension also ended up entering the economic visions between determinists/liberalists and interventionists, both engulfed by positivism and mathematical reason that has left out any transcendental dimension. With these assumptions, this article pretends to present the fundamentals of economic phenomenology, a branch of phenomenology that studies economics in the formation of its primary ideas in response to the economic positivism that left any transcendental dimension and questions out of the economics science, such as: what kind of society do we want? In this context, the principles of economic phenomenology take form from the relationship between subject (intention) and materiality, noesis and noema (Noesis is the intention, the subjective dimension. Noema, is the object thought in subjective terms), which always presupposes a concept, an idea that can be interpreted in everyday life. In this direction, it also proposes the presuppositions, the method, some concepts and theories of which economic phenomenology is composed. Among these, the concepts of ontological reason, Peoples rights demand, the meso-economy and the theory of wages in order to interpret the vision of life that underlies economic systems.

is considered geographically to be small pieces of land scattered across the globe, the islands, in international law of the sea, are of considerable importance. Four of them — the so-called Mozambique Canal Eparses Islands — are the subject of highly political debates. The latter concern the disagreement between Madagascar and France over the sovereignty and management of these islands. In addition to these political debates, the legal aspect of the status of the Mozambique Canal Islands is interesting, given the circumstances surrounding the decolonisation procedure, but also the attempts at conciliation that followed Malagasy's claim in the aftermath of its independence. The purpose of that article is to establish a legal analysis of the various arguments which may be relied on in the context of the Franco-Malgache dispute, but also to establish a perspective as to the outcome of that dispute. ; International audience Considered geographically as mere scraps of emerged land scattered around the globe, islands are of great importance in the field of International Law of the Sea. Four of them – known as the Scattered Islands of the Mozambique Channel – are subject to highly politicized debate. International audience The study is aimed at linking social representations of identity and feeling of belonging to territory of farmers, to their degree of involvement in collective action within localized agrifood systems (LAS). The study was conducted with producers' families producing Serrano cheese, in the mountains of the Campos de Cima da Serra, in southern Brazil. Collective action for the valorization of the Serrano cheese relied on the producers' associations, which are the only form of collective organization. Fifty-four families were selected according to their level of involvement in collective action. First, we used a quantitative approach called the free word association, analyzed by Factorial Correspondence Analysis. Second, we asked closed questions to the producers to assess their feeling of belonging. We showed that the content of the social representation reflected the participation of producers in collective action. Producers who put forward the typicality of the cheese, the territory and their identity, were the most engaged in the associations. On the other hand, producers not involved in associations put forward the difficulties of their activity. In this sense, it appears valuable to encourage discussion between the different producers according to their level of involvement to build common representations that favor collective action for the defense and valorization of the Serrano cheese. Nonetheless, most producers tended to show a high feeling of belonging which could form the basis for discussion. However, collective action in the LAS follows a top-down model led by extension services, in which the producers need to be integrated in a more participatory governance to lead more efficient projects.
