Search for long-lived particles in events with photons and missing energy in proton–proton collisions at [Formula presented] TeV
Results are presented from a search for long-lived neutralinos decaying into a photon and an invisible particle, a signature associated with gauge-mediated supersymmetry breaking in supersymmetric models. The analysis is based on a 4.9fb-1 sample of proton-proton collisions at s=7TeV, collected with the CMS detector at the LHC. The missing transverse energy and the time of arrival of the photon at the electromagnetic calorimeter are used to search for an excess of events over the expected background. No significant excess is observed, and lower limits at the 95% confidence level are obtained on the mass of the lightest neutralino, m>220GeV (for c?6000mm (for m<150GeV). © 2013 CERN ; California Earthquake Authority Serbia Fundação Carlos Chagas Filho de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado do Rio de Janeiro Fuel Cell Technologies Program, FCT Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, JINR: Ukraine Bundesministerium für Wissenschaft und Forschung, BMWF Marketing Science Institute Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission: Pakistan Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología National Science and Technology Development Agency: Thailand Institute for Research in Fundamental Sciences Hispanics in Philanthropy California Department of Fish and Game Secretaría de Estado de Investigación, Desarrollo e Innovación National Research Foundation Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services U.S. Department of Energy Academy of Finland Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior Türkiye Atom Enerjisi Kurumu Ministerio de Educación y Cultura Taipei Research Promotion Foundation: Cyprus, SF0690030s09 National Science Foundation Science and Technology Facilities Council Human Growth Foundation Croatia Austrian Science Fund Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo Secretaría de Educación Pública Western Carolina University Fonds De La Recherche Scientifique - FNRS National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine National Natural Science Foundation of China Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung Instituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare Hungarian Scientific Research Fund Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India Rochester Academy of Science Department of Science and Technology, Government of Rajasthan Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico, CNPq ?????????? ???? ??????????????? ????????????
