Using panel regressions this paper finds the impact of democracy on economic growth. Three theoretical theories, conflict, compatibility and skeptical theories help us understand the determinants of economic growth. The results revealed that there in fact is a significant positive correlation between democracy and economic growth.

Village government isn't delivering basic public services: education, health, and social economy. It is just levy tax land, legitimate of letters, and building infrastructure with mutual cooperation as heritage colonial policy, heerendiensten. Base on this problem, the qualitative research conduct in Loireng Village, Sayung Under District, Demak Regency/District, Central Jawa Province. The objective of this research is to analyze why the village government does not deliver basic public services. Data were collected by observation, document study, and interview. Data analyzed with qualitative descriptive. The new public service theory Denhardt and Denhardt used to analyze it. This research found that village government isn't formal government but state corporatism which not formed to deliver citizen public services.

The hijab behavior in this research is the result of the students' religious knowledge which is then applied in FKIP UNS environment. The purpose of this research is to know the behavioral view of wearing hijab of FKIP UNS students about hijab that they wear.This research is a qualitative descriptive research. The source of this research data is information from respondents and informants at research sites, documents and archives. Data collection techniques used were observation, in-depth interview and literature study. While sampling in this research is purposive sampling technique. Data validity using source triangulation. Data analysis technique is by interactive analysis model which include data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. This model of analysis is a sequence of activities that occur together as well as cyclical and interactive processes. The theory used is Social Action Theory and Cultural Capital Theory.The results of this study indicate that the behavioral view of wearing the scarf of FKIP UNS students about the hijab they wear is the result of religious knowledge about the veil law, then the behavior of veiling is not only done in the campus environment but also applied outside the campus environment. The student's motivation in the headscarf is to become a better person from before, although the trend in UNS campus is very fast growing but the students can distinguish the good way of veiling according to Islamic syariat. In addition, to enforce Islamic law and veiling is a form of propaganda of Islamic teachings in FKIP UNS.Keywords: Student Vocation Behavior, Knowledge, Veil

The study of this research was an analysis of the public policy implementation concerning on the implementation of the Family Hope Program (PKH) in Pandak, Bantul regency in 2014. The purposes of this study were to investigate: (1) the implementation of the Family Hope Program (PKH), (2) the performance of the Family Hope Program (PKH) and (3) factors that influence the performance of the Family Hope Program (PKH). To investigate the implementation of the Family Hope Program in Pandak, the researcher tried to analyze the processes during its implementation. While to measure the performance of the Family Hope Program in Pandak, the researcher applied policy output indicators approach from Randall B. Ripley. It consists of indicators of access, scope, accountability, be as, promptness of service and suitability of the program needs. The research used a qualitative method by using primary data and secondary data. To collect the data, the researcher used observation, interview and documentary. To analyze the data, the researcher applied inductive data analysis. PKH implementation consists of some the steps, those are: (1) determining the targets, (2) validating and preparing of the initial meeting, (3) the distributing of aid and clustering the participants of PKH,(4) commitments verification, and (5) updating the data. From the various stages taken, there is a problem related to the weaknesses of the validation process, that it is only administratively. The weak validation process leads the determination of the target program became less accurate. Based on the measurement of the policy output indicators showed that the output performance of the Family Hope Program (PKH) in Pandak is low, it can be seen from: 1) aspect of bias, as there are still economically, some established families belonging to the members of PKH; 2) aspects of delivery service (promptness of service) as the lateness of the financial aid disbursement, and 3) aspects of the sustainability of the program with the needs of the target group, the aid criteria or the amount of aid considered to be unfair for each RTSM.The research results also showed five dominant factors toward the performance of the program, namely: 1) the lack of communication with the local village government; 2) the lack of data transparency of the PKH receiver targets; 3) the limitation of the available sources; and 4) the absence of mechanisms and rules controlling the fund spent by RTSM; and 5) the decreased compliance of RTSM in fulfilling the obligations under the rules of the program. According to these factors, there were some recommendations to increase the policy / program to be better, those are: (1) Improving the communication and involving the local village government, (2) Increasing the data transparency of the PKH receiver targets; (3) there should be an audit of the available sources; (4) Social Ministry should issue a new rule and control it to the spending of PKH financial aid by RTSM, and (5) optimizing the functions and the coordination between the supervisors and the local village government to increase the awareness of the poor society in fulfilling the specified obligations in the program.

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tuntutan apa yang dilakukan Perwakos dalam memperjuangkan hak-hak waria sebagai warganegara, serta mendeskripsikan upaya apa yang dilakukan Perwakos untuk mewujudkan tuntutan-tuntutan tersebut dalam memperjuangkan hak-hak waria melihat dari Teori Peran oleh Biddle dan Thomas, Teori Tipologi Adaptasi dan Teori Struktur Fungsional oleh Robert K Merton. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian Kualitatif. Informan penelitian ini adalah pengurus Perwakos Di Surabaya yang berjumlah 6 orang. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan teknik wawancara,observasi non-partisipan dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis melalui Pengumpulan Data, Reduksi Data, Penyajian Data, dan Penarikan Kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian tentang peran Perwakos dalam memperjuangkan hak-hak waria sebagai warga negara dapat dilihat dari berbagai rencana kerja yang diupayakan Perwakos dalam pemenuhan hak-hak tersebut. Hak yang ingin dituntut dan diminta oleh rekan waria meliputi hak untuk mendapatkan kebebasan dan hidup dengan tenang, serta hak mendapatkan kesetaraan dan kedudukan di muka umum. Saat waria mengalami diskriminasi berupa fisik, Perwakos berupaya untuk melakukan Advokasi pada pihak-pihak tertentu untuk melindungi anggota-anggota Perwakos dari berbagai macam sentuhan fisik yang diterima rekan waria, sehingga waria mampu menjalankan kehidupannya dan berdampingan dengan masyarakat. Kesetaraan dan kedudukan dimuka umum bisa berbentuk pada pekerjaan yang dibuka oleh perusahaan-perusahaan pemerintah maupun swasta. Semua keterampilan yang diberikan dalam menunjang keahlian waria untuk bersaing dengan masyarakat tertuang dalam Rencana Kerja Perwakos. Harapan waria terbesar ialah mereka diterima bekerja pada Instansi-instansi pemerintah maupun swasta dengan tidak melihat fisik mereka. Kata Kunci: Perwakos, Waria, Hak Warga Negara Abstract This study aimed to describe the demands of what is done Perwakos in fighting for the rights of transsexuals as citizens, and to describe what efforts do Perwakos to realize these demands in the fight for the rights of transsexuals view of Theory Role by Biddle and Thomas, Theory Typology Adaptation and Functional Structure Theory by Robert K Merton. This study uses a qualitative research design. The informants are administrators Perwakos In Surabaya, amounting to 6 people. Data were collected using interview techniques, non-participant observation and documentation. Data were analyzed through Data Collection, Data Reduction, Data Presentation and Conclusions Withdrawal.Results of research on Perwakos role in the fight for transgender rights as citizens may be seen from the various work plans which attempt Perwakos in the fulfillment of these rights. Rights wanting required and requested by fellow transvestites include the right to freedom and to live in peace, as well as the right to equality and status in public. When transsexuals suffer discrimination in the form of physical, Perwakos attempt to do advocacy on certain parties to protect members from various Perwakos received physical touch transgender colleagues, so that transsexuals were able to run side by side with their lives and communities. Equality and position in public can be shaped to the work that was opened by government corporations and private. All the skills provided in support expertise to compete with the transgender community Perwakos contained in the Work Plan. This paper is the political sociology studies to try the understanding how the dynamics of the relationship the orientation character of the political regime is a pattern or design scheme of social welfare policies that exists in Indonesia. The discussion paper sees on: what is the extention of practiclity of citizenship (citizenship) patterning with further understanding of the pattern relationship both the state and the citizen in the design of the existing social welfare.
