The pervasive and long-term effects that stem from sexual abuse make it vital that counselors become adept at addressing the unique and complex needs of survivors. In this Third Edition of Counselling Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse, Claire Burke Draucker and Donna S Martsolf identify the significant healing processes which are essential to achieve recovery. These include: " disclosing the abuse " reinterpreting it from an adult perspective " addressing issues related to the context of the abuse; and " making desired life changes. Each of these processes is discussed in conjunction with the most effective counselling interventions to facilitate resolution. Carefully chosen case examples demonstrate the appropriate use of interventions in practice. The Third Edition includes a wealth of new material covering memory retrieval, outcome research, multicultural counselling, emerging therapeutic approaches, and neuroscience and counseling. KEY FEATURES: A unique focus on the theories of addiction helps fill a gap in the literature that allows readers to connect theory to practice. A single case study explored from multiple perspectives allows students to compare all approaches applied to client situations. Sidebars with classroom discussion questions and activities assist students in further exploration of the theories. A list of resources concludes each chapter to encourage continued learning.

Examines whether vocational rehabilitation counselors' vocational suggestions and salary predictions for hypothetical clients are influenced by the client's sex. Half the subjects were presented with biographical data about a male client while the other half were presented with identical biographical data about a female client. Subjects tended to suggest sex-stereotypical jobs for both sexes, and tended, on the average, to predict that women would start at lower salaries and that they would be earning less money than men after five years at the job.
Increasing the resources and progress of the Hindus in Gianyar regency seems to require a process, the government's efforts in improving human resources both in the field of development and religious education, all of which cannot be separated from the readiness of leaders in an organization in providing services. In the management of the field of counseling of Hindus by non-civil servant counselor, in order to create the strengthening of work culture, in the process of achieving progress, the increase of human resources in religious field, commitment and efforts from religious counselor to carry out their duties and obligations as public servants is a manifestation of karma marga. Efforts to improve intellectual education and counseling to Hindus done by the religious counselor continue to be improved in order to educate and promote the Hindus in Gianyar regency. This is done in accordance with Law no. 20 of 2003, article 30, paragraph 2 states that religious education serves to prepare students to become members of the community who understand and practice the values of religious teachings. Strengthening the work culture of the counselor makes efficient effectiveness, if the counselor has performed performance based on schedule. Organizational culture in a government or private institution that is applied strongly and positively will make management efficient and effective, because it produces things like; values, behaviors, deliberations, and mission-oriented activities.
