When Rupert Murdoch announced in April 2004 that he intended to see his company, News Corporation, reincorporated in the United States, two competing representations of the `media mogul' came to dominate the press's interpretation of this event. The first of these `Murdoch representations' was the most common, and painted an image of a successful entrepreneur, a `celebrity CEO'. Yet, the second `Murdoch representation' painted a different image, a more detailed portrait, with critical attention paid to the modus operandi of the world's most notorious media proprietor. This article deconstructs these representations of Murdoch, a mythic fracturing of image resulting from the political economy of the Australian press. In essence, the article explores issues of media diversity, myth and ideology, and the propensity of the press for critical, impartial, journalism. The empirical data are drawn from an analysis of two of Australia's pre-eminent newspapers: The Australian and the Sydney Morning Herald.

This paper is about the urgency of creating and proposing development alternatives to reintegrate former members who belonged to the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) into civilian life. On the occasion of the signing of the peace treaty between this group and the Colombian government in 2016; also for the victims and territories with the highest incidence of the conflict in the Colombia-Ecuador border. The general objective was to analyze the forms of productive entrepreneurship as facilitators in the process of reintegration into the post-agreement period in Colombia taking into account the successful experiences in the creation of Ecuadorian companies. The methodology was accepted a quantitative approach, analytical empirical method and descriptive research. The tool to collect information is a survey; with a sample of 128 reinserted FARC members. The results come from reinserted FARC members located in the Municipality of Tallambí (Colombia) and the social and solidarity-based economy organizations in the Canton of Carchi (Ecuador). The information obtained about directing and entrepreneurship policies came from the two governments (Ecuador and Colombia), and models of creating companies according to the characteristics found. It can be concluded that the majority of reinserted people are youngsters between the ages of 26 and 30, that is, in a productive age, are willing to train and assume entrepreneurship proposals to continue their reintegration process and improve their quality of life. This can be possible with the help of the two governments, the social institutions and the international community. ; El artículo trata sobre la urgencia de proponer alternativas de desarrollo para la reincorporación a la vida civil de las personas que pertenecieron al grupo insurgente Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia (FARC), con ocasión de la firma de los Acuerdos de paz en 2016; también para las víctimas y territorios de mayor incidencia del conflicto en la frontera Colombo-Ecuatoriana. El objetivo fue analizar el emprendimiento productivo como facilitador del proceso de reincorporación en el post-acuerdo Colombiano desde las experiencias exitosas en emprendimiento ecuatorianas. Como metodología se acogió el enfoque cuantitativo, método empírico analítico y tipo de investigación descriptiva. El instrumento de recolección de información fue la encuesta; con una muestra de 128 reincorporados. Algunos resultados están relacionados con la caracterización de las personas reincorporadas, ubicadas en el Municipio de Tallambí (Colombia). Como conclusión relevante se tiene que la mayoría de reincorporados son jóvenes entre 26 y 30 años, en edad productiva, están dispuestos a formarse y a asumir propuestas de emprendimiento para mejorar su calidad de vida, con acompañamiento de los dos gobiernos, las instituciones y la comunidad internacional.

The purpose of this article is to present the patterns and trends of the Agency for Reincorporation and Normalization (ARN) in supporting research proposals from the scientific community on reintegration and reincorporation of ex-combatants in Colombia. For the last 15 years, the ARN has been the governmental institution in charge of supporting reintegration and reincorporation of illegal armed groups' ex-combatants to civilian life. In doing so, it has been acknowledged that building knowledge networks with other institutions and actors is a fundamental task in order to strengthen the design, implementation, evaluation and improvement processes of public policies of the ARN. This is why between 2008 and 2019, 305 research proposals by universities, researchers, professors and students were studied from both Colombia and abroad. One hundred sixty of these were supported by the ARN. This research shows the main actors that do research on this topic (including international and national universities), the degree of specialization in these studies, the most relevant topics, and the most used methodologies in studies on reintegration and reincorporation of ex-combatants. To do this, we use a descriptive and longitudinal quantitative methodology on the data base of the supported research proposals by the ARN, and highlight the relevant aspects by conducting qualitative analysis from interviews with national and regional officials of the ARN. ; El objetivo de este artículo es presentar los patrones y las tendencias en el proceso de apoyo de la Agencia para la Reincorporación y la Normalización (ARN) a las propuestas de investigaciones de la comunidad científica sobre reintegración y reincorporación de excombatientes en Colombia. La ARN ha sido, durante 15 años, la entidad del Estado encargada de apoyar a los excombatientes de grupos armados ilegales a su reintegración y reincorporación a la vida civil en Colombia. En este camino se ha reconocido que la construcción de redes de conocimiento con otras entidades y actores es fundamental para fortalecer los procesos de diseño, implementación, evaluación y mejora de las políticas públicas a cargo de la ARN. Ello produjo que desde el año 2008 hasta 2019 se estudiaran formalmente 305 propuestas de investigaciones de universidades, investigadores, profesores y estudiantes tanto nacionales como de otros países. De ellas, 160 han contado con el apoyo de la ARN. Esta investigación muestra los principales actores que se dedican a la investigación (entre universidades internacionales y nacionales), los grados de especialización en los estudios, los temas más relevantes, así como las metodologías más utilizadas en los estudios sobre reintegración y reincorporación de excombatientes. Para ello se utiliza una metodología cuantitativa de carácter descriptivo y longitudinal sobre la base de datos de apoyo a investigaciones externas de la ARN, y se resaltan aspectos relevantes en profundidad mediante el análisis cualitativo de entrevistas realizadas a funcionarios nacionales y regionales de la ARN.

Considerations to enable the evaluation of territorial dynamics in the context of the post-agreement in Antioquia are proposed. For its development, an analysis and application of the theories of telecoupled systems and polycentric governancecreated and used mainly by Jianguo Liu and Elinor Ostrom were made. Likewise, some guiding questions, adapting those of Oberlack and others, are proposed, in order to operationalizethe process. Elements to analyze the economic, social and environmental dynamics, generated both inside and outside the selected training and reinstatement area, are suggested, which underwent a transformation, which generated some socioenvironmental problems or impacts on the territories.

ilustraciones, gráficas, tablas ; Este trabajo presenta las ventajas y desventajas que tienen los y las ex insurgentes de las FARC a la hora de enfrentarse a los obstáculos de la reincorporación económica, en el marco de los Acuerdos de la Habana. El estudio se realiza a partir de su apuesta por transformar la estructura colombiana de exclusión económica y política, en principio por vía armada y posteriormente en la vía política y civil. Para llegar a clarificar estas cuestiones, se utiliza la propuesta teórico-metodológica de Anthony Giddens, la teoría de la estructuración. Se plantea un análisis estructural del problema, para luego profundizar en el tema de la micro interacción y la acción de los agentes. Esta metodología tiene en cuenta el complemento estructura-agente e integra elementos de tipo cuantitativo, como los datos estadísticos que se tienen del tema de investigación; con elementos de tipo cualitativo en el estudio del discurso de los agentes y el análisis de su cotidianidad que se realiza a partir de una observación participante y entrevistas a profundidad. Se obtienen algunas conclusiones y recomendaciones para el Estado y también para los y las ex insurgentes. Se destaca la importancia de la acción de los agentes participantes del proceso, ya que el papel del Estado queda a discreción del gobierno de turno y de su voluntad política, cuestión que no se puede controlar. (Texto tomado de la fuente). ; This paper presents the advantages and disadvantages that ex-insurgents of the FARC have when facing obstacles to economic reincorporation, within the framework of the Havana Accords. The study is carried out based on its commitment to transform the Colombian structure of economic and political exclusion, initially by armed means and later through political and civilian means. To clarify these issues, the theoretical-methodological proposal of Anthony Giddens, the theory of structuring, is used. A structural analysis of the problem is proposed, to later delve into the subject of micro-interaction and the action of agents. This methodology takes into account the structure-agent complement and integrates elements of a quantitative nature, such as the statistical data that are available on the research topic; with qualitative elements in the study of the agents' discourse and the analysis of their daily life that is carried out from participant observation and in-depth interviews. Some conclusions and recommendations are obtained for the State and also for the ex-insurgents. The importance of the action of the agents participating in the process is highlighted, since the role of the State is at the discretion of the government of the day and of its political will, an issue that cannot be controlled. The purpose that drives us as defenders of the rights of workers in manifest weakness is to achieve the restitution of these rights enshrined in the Political Constitution of Colombia. Given this, when the times for the application or execution of medical treatments, therapeutic programs and the prescription of any support product that facilitate work performance are not observed in the rehabilitation guide; there may be a breach of the ultimate goal such as the worker's reinstatement on time. Consequently, this discouraging panorama is susceptible to being changed if times are established for each activity plan; starting with the definitive clinical knowledge, going through the occupational functional prognosis and the rehabilitation proposal. ; La finalidad que nos impulsa como defensores de los derechos de los trabajadores en debilidad manifiesta, es lograr la restitución de estos derechos consagrados en la Constitución Política de Colombia. Ante esto, cuando no se observa en la guía de rehabilitación los tiempos para la aplicación o la ejecución de tratamientos médicos, los programas terapéuticos y la prescripción de cualquier producto de apoyo que facilite el desempeño laboral; puede existir un incumplimiento al fin último como la reincorporación a tiempo del trabajador. The international standards of Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration are recommendations made by the United Nations Organization for the development of reincorporation models, which must be adapted according to each context; Colombia today applies them in the implementation phase of the peace agreement between the national government and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia-People's Army, with the aim of reincorporating former combatants into civilian life; with a focus point two of the agreement that is political participation and democratic expansion, exposing the relevance of reviewing the general guidelines agreed in this agreement for the creation and adaptation of institutions that are responsible for accompanying and monitoring the political reincorporation ofex-combatants, as well as the start-up of the transit to civil life that they currently live, thus identifying the challenges that ex-combatants face and the measures that must be taken. ; Los estándares internacionales de Desarme, Desmovilización y Reintegración son recomendaciones hechas por la Organización de las Naciones Unidas para el desarrollo de modelos de reincorporación, que deben ser adaptados de acuerdo a cada contexto. This article analyzes the role of territorialization and infrastructure in reincorporation processes in Colombia. I study individual and social reincorporation experiences in the ETCR (Territorial Training and Reincorporation Space) at El Oso (Gaitania, Tolima, Colombia), its surrounding region, and the places inhabited by Peace Agreement signatories and their families. I explore the so-called "productive projects" as well. The region, historically transformed by central elites into marginal and peripheral territory, has been disputed by armed groups and political parties. Prompted by the Peace Agreement, the associations of coffee producers and signatories of the Peace Agreement, in search of social and economic insertion, have created emerging territorialities which intertwine with multi-scalar processes. Reincorporation faces problems such as poor roads, limited access to land, physical insecurity, food insecurity, and legal uncertainty. ; En este artículo analizo el papel de la territorialización y las infraestructuras en los procesos de reincorporación de firmantes de la paz en Colombia, a partir del caso del ETCR de la vereda El Oso en Gaitania, Tolima. Estudio las experiencias de reincorporación, individuales y sociales en el ETCR y la región, en los lugares habitados por los firmantes y sus familias, y en los denominados "proyectos productivos". Este artículo analiza el concepto de la dignidad en la migración de retorno, siendo un concepto que adquiere sentido propio en el contexto del retorno de las víctimas del conflicto armado colombiano. De esta forma el objetivo de la investigación ha sido identificar el tratamiento que se le ha dado a la dignidad en el marco normativo migratorio en el país. Como metodología se ha realizado un análisis documental de una serie de mecanismos regulatorios, así como en el relato de sus protagonistas, para lo cual se llevaron a cabo diez entrevistas a retornados vinculados al Foro Internacional de Víctimas (FIV) residentes en Bogotá. Se concluye que es necesario para construir estrategias de dignificación de las víctimas así como articular la información nacional con la proveniente de instrumentos internacionales y con estudios sobre dignidad. De tal manera que ofrezcan elementos prácticos para la construcción de una política integral, que cuente con el compromiso de los gobiernos así como de las personas retornadas y de la ciudadanía en general. ; This article analyzes the concept of dignity in return migration, a concept that has acquired its own specific meaning within the context of the return to Colombia of victims of the Colombian armed conflict. The goal of the research has been to identify the treatment that has been given to the concept of dignity in the migratory normative framework in the country. The methodology for this study has involved a documentary analysis of a series of regulatory mechanisms, and development of the story of its protagonists through a series of ten interviews with returning victims linked to the International Forum of Victims (IFV) resident in Bogota. It is concluded that to build strategies to dignify victims it is necessary to articulate national information with information coming from international instruments and with studies on dignity. In this way, it is possible to identify practical elements for the development of a comprehensive policy that has the commitment of governments as well as returnees and citizens in general.

В статье рассматриваются разнообразные конфликтные проявления процесса инкорпорации и реинкорпорации в субрегиональную номенклатуру демобилизованных военнослужащих в период позднего сталинизма. Причины эскалации внутриноменклатурных конфликтов усматриваются в использовании в управленческой практике элементов армейской субкультуры. Обращается внимание на взаимосвязь послевоенной реинкорпорации и усиления коррупционных явлений в правящих группах номенклатуры. ; The article considers various conflict manifestations of the process of demobilized military men's incorporation and reincorporation into subregional high-ranking functionaries ranks during late Stalinism period. The reasons of conflicts escalation among high-ranking functionaries are seen in the use of military subculture elements in management practice. Attention is paid to the correlation between the postwar reincorporation and corruptive phenomena strengthening in the ruling groups of high-ranking functionaries.
