WHAT DO YOU DO IF YOU'VE HAD BOTH LEGS AND AN ARM BLOWN OFF BY A TALIBAN IED? IF YOU'RE ANDY REID, YOU GET ON WITH IT? In October 2009, Corporal Andy Reid was blown up by a Taliban improvised explosive device while on patrol in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. Injured so badly that it was thought he would not survive, he defied the odds to the extent that, within a month, he was able to meet up with the members of his patrol again. What he has achieved since then is little short of unbelievable. Standing Tall tells two stories. One is of Corporal Andy Reid, an infantry-section commander with

; In recent years in a series of countries are reviewing the results of the Second World War and revived the ideology of Nazism. In these circumstances, a study becomes particularly topical formation and development of the German warlike mentality and its highest manifestation German fighting spirit. The article is devoted to complex research of the factors that influenced the development of German fighting spirit. The author shows that the genesis and formation of the German fighting spirit have been associated with such historical phenomenon of German chivalry, who became for other European chivalrous organizations emulated. In the culture of the Germans of that period he formed the concept of "war". Its basis is made up of national character traits such as cruelty, aggression and bloodlust. German fighting spirit expressed not only a series of high morale of the soldiers, but their mannerisms and even appearance. The militant Prussianism was the most accurate expression of the German fighting spirit, on the development of which is influenced by many historical circumstances. Geopolitical factor of German fighting spirit expressed in the doctrine of the Holy Roman Empire "Drang nach Osten". Her ideas were developed Friedrich Ratzel and Karl Haushofer. The article in detail shown that German culture had a tremendous impact on the strengthening of German fighting spirit. A great role in this case played a German epic, songs minnesingers and landsknechts, visual arts, architecture, heraldry and music, especially of Wagner and military marches of Nazis. The philosophical justification of militancy German mentality gave I. Kant and G. Gegel. On the German warlike mentality influenced also works of F. Nietzsche, M. Haydegger, K. Shmitt, O. Shpann. Thus, the German fighting spirit, born in the German medieval chivalry, went the way of many centuries under the influence of four main factors: history, geopolitics, culture and philosophy.

Military rabbis in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are an integral part of the army and currently posted in almost all army units. The role of the military rabbi has undergone fundamental changes since the founding of the State and the IDF, most notably in the past generation. While the formal definition of the military rabbi&rsquo ; s role has remained relatively stable ; in practice it has undergone dramatic changes on the backdrop of processes in the IDF Military Rabbinate and in the religious-Zionist sector in Israel. Whereas in the past military rabbis were viewed as religious service providers, during the term of Chief Military Rabbi Rontzky (2010&ndash ; 2016) they viewed themselves in the role of a &ldquo ; Kohen anointed for war&rdquo ; (Meshuach Milchama). Harking back to the biblical description of the Kohanim who strengthen the people at a time of war, this military figure is entrusted with strengthening soldiers, morally and spiritually, before they go into battle. Nonetheless, a return to the religious services provider model can be discerned in recent years, mainly in response to the contention of religionization in the military. The article focuses on the changing role of the IDF military rabbi and identifies three major explanatory factors of these changes: (a) Differences between the formative period of the IDF Military Rabbinate and later periods ; (b) Demographic changes in the composition of the IDF, mainly the growing number of soldiers from the national-religious sector ; (c) The changing character of the Chief Military Rabbi&rsquo ; s background which affected the nature of the military rabbi&rsquo ; s role. The article aims to show that the Military Rabbinate has not been immune to the struggle over the collective Jewish identity of the State of Israel, and its underlying processes reflect the complexity and diversity of Israeli society.

The notion of democracy is used by most of the countries in the world as a foundation in managing the country, it is also the choice of Indonesia after the reformation period in 1998 as stated in the amendment of the 1945 Constitution. Through democracy, people can control the government administration so that the government does not act arbitrarily. With democracy, people are also given the opportunity to participate in all aspects of development, guaranteed the freedom of association / assembly to express opinions on various matters in the government administration in accordance with the constitutional corridor. In practice, after 2 (two) decades of reformation, freedom in democracy has become an act that exceeds the limit. In the national life order in Indonesia today, there have been various hoaxes (false information), utterances of hatred on social media, anarchic behavior occurring in various places, even radicalism movements which allegedly want to destroy the ideology of Pancasila and replace it with other ideologies. In this study, there are two problems that will be discussed, namely legal policy in the prohibition of hoaxes and hate speech and the ideology of Pancasila in the prevention of hoaxes and hate speeches. Legal policies in the prohibition of hoax and hate speech are regulated in Article 28 paragraph (1) of Law Number 11 Year 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions. Prohibition of hoaxes and hate speeches is also carried out in various laws and regulations in other countries. Hoaxes and hate speeches threaten the integrity of Indonesia. Therefore, to guard and care for the Republic of Indonesia to remain based on the ideology of Pancasila, the nation's commitment to defend Pancasila as a state ideology must be able to actualize the noble values contained in the principles of Pancasila in life as well as possible and committed to fight hoax, utterances of hatred, anarchic actions and radicalism by strengthening the spirit of Pancasila for every Indonesian person and encouraging various government agencies to uphold the concept of the rule of law in preventing the disintegration of the nation.

"Denied her Indigenous status, Lynn Gehl has been fighting her entire life to reclaim mino-pimadiziwin-the good life. Exploring Anishinaabeg philosophy and Anishinaabeg conceptions of truth, Gehl shows how she came to locate her spirit and decolonize her identity, thereby becoming, in her words, "fully human." Gehl also provides a harsh critique of Canada and takes on important anti-colonial battles, including the land claims process and sex discrimination in the Indian Act."--
