AbstractEmployee green behavior research has not focused on its holistic examination from the perspective of the environmental theory of planned behavior and bridging of green intention–behavior gap. This study examines the impact of employee green attitude, green subjective norms, and green perceived behavioral control on both required (in‐role) and voluntary (extra‐role) employee green behavior through green behavioral intention. The moderating role of perceived organizational support toward the environment has also been examined in the intention–behavior relationship. Multisource data was collected from 720 employees and their 72 supervisors in three time‐lags and was analyzed through structural equation modeling. Results show that employee green attitude, green subjective norm, and green perceived behavioral control positively influence employees' both required and voluntary green behavior indirectly through their green behavioral intention. Also, perceived organizational support toward the environment strengthens the positive effect of employee green behavioral intention on their required and voluntary green behavior.

PurposeDrawing on conservation of resource theory, this study aims to examine the impact of work-study conflict (WSC) on workplace outcomes (job performance, job satisfaction, burnout and turnover intention). The study also investigated whether these relationships were contingent on the level of supervisor support at the workplace.Design/methodology/approachSurvey data were collected in two-time lags from 752 studying professionals (non-traditional students) through a convenient sampling technique.FindingsResults showed that WSC enhances burnout and turnover intention but has no significant direct relationship with job performance and job satisfaction. It was also found that the relationships between WSC and workplace outcomes, i.e. job performance, job satisfaction and burnout were conditional on the level of supervisor support.Originality/valueThe research contributes to WSC literature by being the first to empirically investigate the direct and interactive effects of WSC and supervisor support on important workplace outcomes of those adults who were primarily working and then decided to study further for career development rather than on full-time students.
Management in education cannot be exaggerated as without good management of available resources, the objective of a standard education cannot be achieved. Effective management is very important to accomplish the national educational objectives. The purpose of this research work was to investigate the effects of the democratic managerial style of principals regarding the school environment. Beside the multiple parameters of measuring the effects of the democratic managerial style on the school environment, the study focused only the conducive environment in democratic management style for teachers. Population of the study constituted all secondary school teachers (male and female) of district level. In this regard, only one district i.e., district Narowal was taken to choose the respondents of the study. The secondary school teachers i.e., total 200(100 male and 100 female) were selected as sample of the study, using stratified sampling technique from boys and girls schools respectively. A self-made questionnaire, consisting ten items, was utilized as an exploration instrument for the accumulation of the data from the secondary school teachers. Reliability was also checked before applying the questionnaire to the teachers. SPSS (software package for statistical analysis) was used to interpret the results collected after the circulation of questionnaires. After gathering of the information, it was arranged and investigated by utilizing Chi Square and checked noteworthiness of the announcement at alpha worth0.05 level of significance. It was concluded that democratic managerial style of head teachers increases the motivational level of teachers that has positive effect on the teaching learning process.

The study critically examines coverage of Afghan conflict and the relationship between the elite press and the governments of the neighboring countries of Afghanistan. We analyzed how media framed Taliban in the context of foreign policies of the neighboring countries of Afghanistan having important stakes in the conflict-ravaged country. The study focused on the stated foreign policy positions of China, India, Iran, and Pakistan on the conflict in Afghanistan and the approach used by the elite press of these countries in responding to the initiatives of the foreign office. We employed content analysis to analyze editorials of the elite English-language newspapers to investigate whether the relationship between press and media is elite-driven, adversarial, or independent. We found that the elite English newspapers followed the official foreign policy of their countries while covering the war in Afghanistan and Taliban at a time when the entire region was in the grip of terror attacks.

The Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) can play a significant role in the sustainable development of South Asia if appropriately implemented. Apart from the economic, trade, and cultural benefits of this colossal infrastructure, less is known about its environmental impact on South Asia. This study looks closely at the potential impact of the BRI on the South Asian environment. This research is based on the government-issued environmental policies, peer-reviewed literature, media articles, and reports. It has been suggested that the BRI could have a negative impact on the South Asian environment, which provided if does not consider the Paris agreement with its partners in the region. The study suggests that partner countries should adopt the BRI project to the principles of environmental impact assessment.

Purpose: The primary purpose of the present study is to analyze the speeches of PM Imran, which he delivered to persuade the economic organizations and masses for fundraising on the first and 4th April, respectively. Method: The research is qualitative and analytical. The primary data was collected from the speeches and telethons on two well-known news channels of Pakistan. Theoretical/secondary data have been collected from various online sources. The data were analyzed employing Fairclough's 3D model—Textual, at the first step, processing, at the second step, and finally the social implication(s). Main Findings: The textual analysis suggests that the Prime Minister deliberately focuses on the lower class—'people' of Pakistan. Therefore, he persuaded the local individuals and the international organizations; more, he also conquered the minds of Pakistani ex-pats living in foreign and convinced them to send aids and foreign remittances. These speeches also immediately affected and motivated the local non-profit services organizations and masses to help others throughout the pandemic. Hence, the public figure (celebrities or characters) also promoted the idea of Prime Minister). Application of the Study: The study suggests the techniques for the speakers how they would manage to make balanced speeches under challenging times. Various linguistic techniques are employed and tested adopting from the other researchers, which may also be helpful for future researchers. Hence, general social individuals would also find the cultural referents for the economic fundraising techniques utilizing the linguistic technique; for instance, Imran Khan successfully employed these to collect the funds for hospitals, universities, and the state. The Originality of the Study: According to the researchers' best knowledge, the study is innovative as no such type of study was conducted in the context, i.e., the context speeches relevant to fundraising. This research argues that a parliamentary system is a more desirable and efficient system of government than others. This research explains the differences between both these systems. Both the houses of these parliaments provide different services that require separate investigation and throw further light on the subject.
