The International Nuremberg Tribunal was the first international criminal trial formalized to a high degree. A significant part of international criminal law codified so far incorporated the groundwork laid by lawyers and diplomats of 24 countries which acceded to the accord on convening the International Military Tribunal at Nuremberg.
