Ce mémoire propose l'étude systémique et systématique de la production de l'environnement construit du quartier Notre-Dame de la ville de Lévis de 1865 à 1927. Il met en relation les caractères de la forme construite avec des descripteurs de la société qui la transforme. Des données quantitatives, qualitatives sont rassemblées et géoréférencées dans un système d'information géographique (SIG). Des cartes historiques permettent la reconstitution de la morphogenèse urbaine et les plans d'assurance-incendie fournissent des caractéristiques constructives pour tous les bâtiments de la ville. Des données sociales sur les occupants sont tirées des annuaires Marcotte. La base de données est analysée à l'aide de statistiques descriptives (diachroniques) et relationnelles (synchroniques). Une revue du contexte historique et l'étude du financement de la construction, par les archives notariales, permettent d'interpréter les analyses. Il en résulte une description détaillée de l'environnement bâti comme système. Des moteurs des choix constructifs des Lévisiens sont trouvés dans les relations entre les formes urbaines et construites, le contexte historique (population, territoire, économie, société, transport) et les occupants (genre, groupes socioprofessionnels et linguistiques). Les logiques systémiques proposées vont des influences politiques et économiques à grande échelle aux décisions, opportunités et limites des individus. L'étude du financement de la construction place les actions des constructeurs dans le cadre concret des décisions économique. Elle permet aussi de révéler l'influence de la Société de construction permanente de Lévis, une organisation jamais étudiée, sur le cadre bâti et l'économie de la ville. La difficulté à confirmer les hypothèses avancées à l'aide des données recueillies mène à qualifier cette étude d'exploratoire. Tout de même, ces hypothèses proposent une synthèse des phénomènes qui définissent la production de l'environnement bâti à Lévis de 1865 à 1927. Elles placent l'acte de construire à la rencontre des choix individuels et des contraintes sociales. ; This thesis is a systemic and systematic study of the production of the built environment of the Notre-Dame neighborhood in Lévis (Quebec, Canada) from 1865 to 1927. It connects characteristics of the built form with descriptors of the society which transforms it. Quantitative and qualitative data is aggregated and georeferenced in a geographical information system (GIS). Historical maps allow for the reconstitution of the urban morphogenesis, and the insurance plans provide a material description of all the town's buildings. Social data on the tenants is gathered from the Marcotte directories. The database is analyzed with descriptive (diachronic) and bivariate (synchronic) statistics. A review of the historical context and the study of construction financing, through the notary archives, lead to the interpretation of those analyses. The main result of this research is a detailed description of the built environment as a system. Engines of the morphological transformation of the town's build environment are found in the relationship between the urban and built form, the historical context (population, territory, economy, society and transportation) and the tenants (gender, socio-professional and linguistic groups). The systemic relationships hypothesized range from largescale political and economic influences to the individual decisions, opportunities and limits. The study of construction financing puts the actions of builders in the concrete framework of economic decisions. It also reveals the previously unknown influence of Lévis's Permanent Construction Society on the built environment and economy of the town. This research can be qualified as exploratory because of its difficulty to confirm the hypotheses suggested by the data. Nonetheless, theses hypotheses offer a synthesis of the phenomena defining the production of Lévis built environment from 1865 to 1927. [full article and abstract in Lithuanian; abstract in English] Nojus Feigelmanas is a bibliographer and a librarian known for his significant contribution to the history of Lithuanian culture. Consistent and targeted book-related activities pursued by Feigelmanas throughout his life-span have earned him the status of a bookscientist. He was born in Panevėžys on 8 February, 1918. During the period of 1931-1936 he studied in the private Panevėžys Jewish Gymnasium. In 1936-1940 he studied geodesy at Vytautas Magnus University, but failed to complete his studies as he was called up to the army when World War II was launched. In 1959, N. Feigelmanas graduated the Faculty of History and Philology at Vilnius University. In 1950-1990, he worked at the Vilnius University Library: having started career as a bibliographer, he became Head of the Rare Print Department and retained this position for more than three decades. Later in life, in 1990, he moved to Israel and died there on 7 September, 2002, in the city of Ashkelon. The printed catalogues compiled by N. Feigelman are as follows: "The Old Lithuanian Book at Vilnius University" (1959), "The Incunabula of Lithuania" (1975), "The paleotypes of Vilnius University Library" (2003, posthumously, co-authored). He has also published three dozen scientific articles, organized scientific exhibitions, cultural programs on television, etc. The article aims at disclosing N. Feigelmanas's path toward book science and his contribution to the development of Lithuanian book science. It also identifies the key factors that have shaped his personality, the choice of the librarian's profession which ignited his interest in book study, and analyses the directories compiled by N. Feigelmanas and the scientific articles. The conclusion has been drawn that during his long life, from the very young days, when he first read Torah at school, visited book fairs and exhibitions as a gymnasium student, throughout his career at the scientific Vytautas Magnus University Library and small military libraries, to the end of his life, even after he emigrated to Israel – the book remained his lifelong companion. ; [straipsnis ir santrauka lietuvių kalba; santrauka anglų kalba] Nojus Feigelmanas – bibliografas, bibliotekininkas, daug nuveikęs Lietuvos kultūros istorijai. Feigelmano kelias knygotyros link, jo veiklos svarba Lietuvos knygotyros raidai, išskiriami esminiai asmenybės formavimuisi įtakos turėję veiksniai, bibliotekininko profesijos pasirinkimas, atvedęs į knygotyrą, tiriami N. Feigelmano sudaryti katalogai, jo parašyti straipsniai. Daroma išvada, kad nuo pradinėje mokykloje skaitytos Toros, gimnazijoje vykusių knygų parodų ir mugių, mokslinės Vytauto Didžiojo universiteto bibliotekos ir karinių bibliotekėlių iki pat darbo mokslinėje Vilniaus universiteto bibliotekoje ir net emigravus į Izraelį – visą ilgą gyvenimo kelią N. Feigelmaną lydėjo knyga.

Изучено празднование 300-летнего юбилея правящей династии Романовых в Тобольской губернии. Описаны городские торжества, которые прошли в учебных учреждениях региона, а также ряд различных мероприятий, приуроченных к знаменательной дате (частичная амнистия заключенных, депутация от губернии на празднества в Санкт-Петербург и др.). Актуальность исследования заключается в выделении ряда особенностей, характерных для проведения 300-летнего юбилея в Тобольской губернии, а также традиции проведения других аналогичных торжеств, проходивших в регионе в обозначенных хронологических границах. ; The article is devoted to the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the Romanov dynasty on the territory of Tobolsk Province. The relevance of the work is determined by the detection of characteristic features of the events in the region, as well as their comparison with other similar mass celebrations held in the designated spatio-temporal framework. The object of study is the townspeople of Tobolsk Province who participated in festive and entertaining events dedicated to important anniversaries in the 19th-20th centuries. The subject is the traditions and peculiarities of the events. The territorial boundaries are limited to Tobolsk Province, a sparsely populated and underdeveloped provincial region of the Russian Empire. The chronological boundaries of the late 19th early 20th centuries are due to the ambitious modernization process that took place in the country. The massive advances affected almost all spheres of life of the population and brought to the fore new transformation values and caused, on the other hand, the extinction of traditional occupations and attitudes of society. The methodological basis of the study takes into account the urban area of the theory of modernization of a traditional society, the use of which is due to the dynamism of urban society. In the course of performing the tasks of the study, the authors also relied on the totality of findings and concepts on the history of Russian urbanism, including updated approaches to aspects of everyday life. The complexity of the studied object requires the use of practices of the interdisciplinary approach in cultural studies, geography, urban studies and other sciences. The use of the local approach is appropriate in relation to the city as a social organism embedded in the local periphery. An emphasis is made on the influence of the "new Imperial history" in relation to the factors of the formation and elements of the studied object. Finally, to separate the topic from the broad category of urban culture and to emphasize its values, methods and techniques of the problem-chronological approach were applied. The source base of the study includes reference and statistical materials (commemorative books, directories), periodicals (Sibirskaya torgovaya gazeta, Sibirskiy listok, Tobol'skie gubernskie vedomosti), documents of personal origin (memoirs), historical essays and notes. In the course of the analysis the following results were obtained. Along with the fact that celebrations dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the Romanov dynasty were largely typical, it is possible to identify characteristic features of the celebration in Tobolsk Province. Thus, representatives of the local urban government took an active part in the organization and conduct of events (scholarships, renaming objects, etc.). In addition, special cases were the mass amnesty of prisoners and public awards. A delegation from the region visited the large-scale celebration in St. Petersburg. Along with the significant event, other anniversary celebrations (important dates from biographies of famous people), memorable events and the traditions of holding processions are also specific.

El empleo de los nombres y apellidos de los individuos, como criterio de selección para construir el marco muestral de una investigación, es una estrategia importante en el estudio de la migración. Ya sea con una finalidad descriptiva o como paso previo al diseño de una muestra, permite identificar una subpoblación que de otro modo permanecería de difícil acceso. Esto no evita existan dificultades obvias, propias de los métodos de recolección de datos en general y de esta aplicación en particular (Alaminos, 1989; Francés et al, 2015; Santacreu, 2016). En ese sentido, como estrategia de indagación de la realidad de los migrantes intraeuropeos, ha sido empleada frecuentemente por el grupo de investigación OBETS, en múltiples proyectos de investigación nacionales e internacionales, utilizando como información de referencia repertorios telefónicos o por ejemplo las listas electorales con los candidatos en elecciones locales. Estas páginas examinan sus condiciones de aplicación, así como se evalúa su validez tanto interna como externa. Se toma como referencia de caso el estudio "La participación política como candidatos de los residentes europeos en España", Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad (CSO2012-32930). Para la evaluación interna, se revisa la información de casos extraída mediante algoritmo de inclusión y exclusión sobre la base de coincidencias onomásticas. La revisión de validación destaca problemas relacionados con los nombres compuestos o las segundas generaciones. La validación externa se realiza comparando los resultados de la validación interna con información oficial y documental publicada por los medios o los partidos políticos. Dada la escasa sistematización pública de los datos, esta comparación se efectúa de forma puntual para momentos diferentes del tiempo. La validación externa diseñada corresponde con la lógica de los datos híbridos, propuesta por Euroestat, empleando múltiples fuentes de información. ; The use of the names and surnames of individuals as a selection criterion to construct the sampling frame of an investigation is an important strategy in the study of migration. Whether for a descriptive purpose or as a preliminary step in the design of a sample, it allows identifying a subpopulation that would otherwise remain difficult to access. This does not prevent obvious difficulties, typical of data collection methods in general and of this particular application (Alaminos, 1989; Francés et al, 2015; Santacreu, 2016). In this sense, as a strategy to investigate the reality of intra-European migrants, it has been frequently used by the OBETS research group in many national and international research projects, using as reference information telephone directories or, for example, electoral lists with the candidates in local elections. These pages examine their application conditions, as well as evaluate their internal and external validity. The study "Political participation as candidates for European residents in Spain", Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (CSO2012-32930), is taken as a reference case. For the internal evaluation, the information of cases extracted by means of inclusion and exclusion algorithm is reviewed on the basis of onomastic coincidences. The validation review highlights problems related to compound names or second generation. External validation is performed by comparing the results of internal validation with official and documentary information published by the media or political parties. Given the scarce public systematization of the data, this comparison is made in a specific way for different moments of time. In all the various discussions and debates stimulated by poverty and relief in nineteenth-century Ireland, studies rarely go beyond generalisations with respect to relief committee membership. The main aim of this thesis is to go some way towards filling that void by constructing a social profile of the local relief committee member. Using local directories, church records, local newspapers, estate papers and personal diaries, this study reveals the social, religious, and where possible, political backgrounds of relief committees in the four Poor Law Unions of Dundalk, County Louth, Inishowen, County Donegal, Ballina, County Mayo and Thurles, County Tipperary. The social structures within the four Poor Law Unions were examined, revealing a tiered system of wealth in both rural and urban areas. In terms of possible relief workers, it was the towns of Dundalk, Ballina and Thurles who had larger numbers of clergy, gentry, professionals and traders to help the poor in times of need. Outside of these towns, however, figures of possible relief workers dropped sharply, as the range of potential charity workers revolved around the gentry and clergy. In terms of charitable associations formed to deal with poverty on a day to day basis, it was the unions of Ballina and Dundalk that had the more active relief volunteer force. These groups were run, for the most part, by local Protestant clergy, gentry and traders. In Thurles there was a more active Catholic participation in the relief of the poor on an ongoing basis, but it was still a small local Protestant population that seized the initiative with respect to local charity and who sustained it when others lost interest. In terms of ad hoc relief committees formed to deal with specific periods of distress, the pre-famine years saw an evolution in the role played by the relief committee member. Yet while the role of the committee member changed, one aspect of relief did not: the charity worker himself. When the blight attacked the potato crop in 1845, the four Poor Law Unions had a volunteer force that had a long experience of working together. During the famine relief, with a few exceptions, remained a particularly Protestant affair, sustained by lesser gentry and the clergy, Protestant and Catholic. The towns of Ballina and Dundalk did see a more active trader class in terms of relief but in general and despite the fact that these towns did have a growing trader class, they did not form a particularly significant part of relief committees. The famine years saw a concerted relief effort on the part of the clergy, Catholic and Protestant and they proved particularly vital to the relief effort. Government rules on relief committee membership during the famine placed all women outside of the relief committee structure. The government policy of property paying for poverty automatically placed women outside local systems of relief because few women had the actual ownership and management of landed estates directly in their hands. Yet women did operate their own system of relief during the famine. These women were invariably the wives, daughters and sisters of men who were already active local charity workers. Thus charity during this period was very much a family affair. And finally, minute books of famine relief committees confirm certain patterns that may be just hinted at in other contemporary sources. Following the Fontainebleau relaunch in 1984 and then the arrival of Jacques Delors, who was able to rely on a reinvigorated relationship between Germany and France, the process of European integration accelerated, with the Commission playing a leading role. Three large-scale projects were launched under Jacques Delors: completion of the internal market; economic and monetary union; and opening up the EU to the countries of central and eastern Europe after the fall of the Berlin Wall. Under Jacques Santer and Romano Prodi the Commission took care to complete these projects or ensure their continuity, leading the preparatory negotiations on the establishment of EMU and the greatest enlargement in the European Union's history, efforts to deepen the Community and discussions on European governance with a view to future accessions. New treaties were signed, substantially increasing the Community's powers. However, difficulties with the ratification of the Maastricht Treaty also showed that the public had still to be convinced and that better public communication and information were needed. A total of 52 academics and researchers from more than 30 universities and research centres in Europe, the United States and around 15 countries took part in the drafting of this work. The authors had access to new Commission archives, and many witnesses to the events, former officials, Commissioners and Presidents of the Commission were interviewed. These new sources, both oral and written, constituted a wealth of documentation that enabled the researchers to shed new light on the work of the Commission between 1986 and 2000. A similar project has already led to the publication of two other works, the first dedicated to the years 1958-1972 and the second to the 1973-1986 period. This work is the third volume of a series, the first of which, The European Commission, 1958-72 — History and memories of an institution, was published in 2007, and the second, The European Commission 1973-86 — History and memories of an institution, in 2014. The author explores the issue of forming the "pantheon" of the most prominent figures in the history of Kharkiv. To this end, Soviet city guides were analyzed. The names found on the guide pages have been recorded in the appropriate database. The author stated the principles of construction of this database and possible interpretations of the obtained results. It contains two fields - "faces" and "mentions". In the first box, those names found on the guide pages were recorded, and in the second box, those ratings that accompany a specific name were recorded. Along with fixing a person's name, a social or professional characteristic (scientist, military, architect, statesman, etc.) was also mentioned. In the "mention" field, depending on the nature of the mention of a person, a coefficient was stated: if the name was mentioned without a rating, it is a factor # 1 (1 point), a combination with such epithets as "known", "prominent" and the like – a factor # 2 (2 points), more or less a detailed characteristic of the activity, first of all from the point of view of impact on the development of the city – factor # 3 (3 points). As a result, it allowed to create a certain hierarchical name system and to separate "TOP-10" of them. In the long run, it will allow you to see a system of names in the dynamics, when some persons will fall out of the list of leaders at certain periods and others will be included in this list. It will also be important to capture changes in terms of increasing or decreasing attention to a particular category of people (social and professional characteristics). In total, more than 650 people were included in the database. The author concluded that in the early 20th century the guides less mentioned statesmen and local administrators, and more of artists, architects, and scientists. Also, the article states that in the late 19th and early 20th centuries the list of "local heroes" in Kharkiv has just begun to form. This can be explained by the absence of some known persons in the TOP-10 list. This is partly due to the fact that the guide genre itself has not yet been completed, and the first guides rather resembled information directories and were thematically imbalanced. Nevertheless, this material can be used in studying the initial stage of assembly of the "Kharkiv Pantheon". ; У центрі уваги автора перебуває проблема формування «пантеону» найвидатніших постатей в історії Харкова. З цією метою були проаналізовані дорадянські путівники по місту. Імена, які трапляються на сторінках путівників, заносилися у відповідну базу даних. У статті зазначені принципи побудови цієї бази даних та можливі інтерпретації одержаних результатів. Вона містить два поля – «особи» і «згадки». Упершому полі фіксувалися ті імена, які трапляються на сторінках путівників, у другому – ті оцінки, які супроводжують певне ім'я. Разом із фіксацією імені особи зазначалася й соціальна чи професійна характеристика (вчений, військовий, архітектор, державний діяч тощо). У полі «згадки» залежно від характеру згадування тієї чи іншої особи зазначався коефіцієнт: якщо ім'я згадувалося без оцінок – це коефіцієнт 1(1бал), поєднання з такими епітетами, як «відомий», «визначний» та подібні – коефіцієнт 2(2бали), більш-менш докладна характеристика діяльності, передусім з погляду впливу на розвиток міста – коефіцієнт 3(3бали). У підсумку це дозволило створити певну ієрархічну систему імен і виокремити «ТОП-10». Уперспективі це дозволить побачити систему імен у динаміці, коли деякі особи в певні періоди будуть «випадати» з кола лідерів, а інші потрапляти до цього списку. Також важливо буде зафіксувати зсуви в плані збільшення чи зменшення уваги до певної категорії осіб (мається на увазі соціальна та професійна характеристики). Загалом до бази даних потрапила інформація про більше ніж 650осіб. Зроблено висновки про те, що на початку ХХст. у путівниках все менше згадували державних діячів та місцевих адміністраторів, а більше– художників, архітекторів, науковців. Також зазначено, що наприкінці ХІХ– на початку ХХст. список «місцевих героїв» у Харкові лише почав формуватися. Саме цим можна пояснити відсутність деяких відомих осіб у ТОП-10. Почасти це пов'язано також із тим, що й сам жанр путівника ще не оформився остаточно, а перші путівники радше нагадували інформаційні довідники, були тематично незбалансовані. Між тим цей матеріал може бути корисним для вивчення початкового етапу складання «харківського пантеону».
