The article deals with history of chess spreading from India to the countries of Eurasia. Discovery in the North Caucasus of ancient Mongolian chess crafted in Buddhist style, the author analyzes the possible ways of promoting chess game and factors of their evolutionary development under the influence oflslam and other historical circumstances. The origin of the discovered chess pieces dates back to the middle of the 13th century, the time of Mongol armies' campaign of Hulagu Khan (1217-1265) to the Middle East. ; В статье рассматривается история распространения шахмат из Индии в страны Евразии. The literature of Latin America informs and captivates lectors through a myriad of sociocultural, political and economic contexts, thus validating it as an artistic expression representative of those postcolonial communities that authors wish to engage. In the case of postcolonial literature, both contemporary and historical events play a significant role in the development of a nation's distinct identity and facilitate an incipient society's recognition as an independent region. In this article, I illustrate how the three-part series of books Journey On, Aba Wama, and Gariganus' Exile by Belizean author Nelita Doherty contribute significantly to the creation of postcolonial Belize through the establishment, struggles, and survival of the Afro-indigenous Garifuna community. This work critically analyzes themes such as emancipation, the concept of "nation", a feminist perspective of protecting the nation, cultural heritage and remembrance, and subalternity viewed through the lenses of macrohistories and microhistories.

This article analyzes the origin limitations of the Federal State of Panama. The author remarks the centralist-federalist spirit of that political institution. He studies the speculation and the monopoly of uncultivated lands. He recognizes the endangered and controversial incomes of the original entity. Both the annexionist threats and the centralist reactions are viewed. Also, he points out the difficult beginning of the Federal State of Panama: internal divisionism, Colombian interference andAmerican hegemony. ; Este artículo analiza las limitaciones de origen del Estado Federal de Panamá. An increasing number of States have entered the market looking to invest resources in foreign assets. This emergence of States acting as investors, managing the wealth of a nation and competing in the marketplace with private investors, has attracted growing and wide attention. This thesis is the first in-depth analysis of the international tax aspects of sovereign wealth investors, and serves as a comprehensive guide to designing tax policy, from a source State perspective, toward inbound sovereign wealth investment. Taking four influential Chinese surveying and mapping journals as the data source, 5863 papers published during the period of 2003–2013 were obtained. Using the method of bibliometrics and visual analysis, summarizing the surveying and mapping papers in the past ten years (2003-2013), research themes, authors, and geographical distribution were analyzed. In the study, the papers of geodesy, cartography and GIS are 59.9%, more than half of all the papers. We also determine that the core author group has 131 authors, mainly of whom are from big cities. 90% of top ten cities on the number of publishing papers are capital cities or municipalities directly under the central government.In conclusion, we found that the research focus was different every year, and the research content was richness, the content of geodesy, cartography and GIS were widely researched, and the development of surveying and mapping is imbalanced in China.

Although many efforts have been made to control Listeria monocytogenes in the food industry, growing pervasiveness amongst the population over the last decades has made this bacterium considered to be one of the most hazardous foodborne pathogens. Its outstanding biocide tolerance capacity and ability to promiscuously associate with other bacterial species forming multispecies communities have permitted this microorganism to survive and persist within the industrial environment. This article tackles ethical and political dimensions of emotions while exploring forms of solidarity among women exposed to gender violence. Taking the case of a multi-ethnic neighbourhood in the border city of Giurgiu, Romania, the author investigates the role of shame, guilt and security in decisions about managing the experience of abuse in intimate partner violence. In the local community, institutional and personal interactions are shaped by state and private agents who intervene (or not) in the lives of women who are victims of gender-related violence. Institutional dynamics, street-level bureaucracy and community self-regulation employ emotive-political concepts and contribute to norms that justify and maintain violence against women. Building on scholarship of emotions and feminist ethical theories, the article shows the formative relation between the notions of shame, guilt and security, and points to the political subjectivities they create in a multi-ethnic community.

Although it may seem absurd, it is no exaggeration to say that humour is a very serious matter in Egypt, where dozens of intellectuals have analysed this phenomenon, often linking it to their national identity. This article presents various opinions on Egyptian satire to introduce a 2015 novel by Mona Prince, one of the Egyptian writers of the 1990s generation. In 2012, the author published a memoir of the January 25 Revolution. This study tries to explain the relationship between her political activism and her literary career; the role of humour in her œuvre; and how she deals with gender and religious issues in her 2015 work, which is also autobiographic. Moreover, since the novelist wrote the text between 2008 and 2014, this article offers some notes on satiric literature in pre- and post-2011 Egypt.Key words: Egyptian writers, fiction, non-fiction, memoirs, humour, satire, subversion, revolution.

The verb wsf/sf3 has been attested since the Sixth Dynasty. Its basic meaning is derogatory and can be defined as "to turn away from", "to reject". Being contradictory to the notion of acting – that is, one of the ways of doing Maat – it is mostly used in negative statements. Therefore, its use in a positive statement and with a positive connotation in the eulogy of the Speos of el-Salamuni, composed to glorify Ay, deserves attention. Indeed, the author of the eulogy uses wsf to express the rejection of Akhenaten's policy by Ay. This use is not only remarkable in itself, but especially regarding the political discourse of this king. Furthermore, it may reveal Ay's appreciation of the delicate situation due to his prominent position during Akhenaten's reign, and thereby highlight the painful memory that the Amarna Period could have left in Egyptian society.

In this article, from the point of view of the comparative analysis, the legal provisions of the criminal legislation of some foreign countries, devoted to the regulation of criminal liability for remaining in danger, are considered. Analyzed the characteristic features of the method of normative presentation of the elements of the crime, the use of various methods of legal analysis (for example, specific rules). The necessity of implementation of some provisions and norms of the Criminal Code of developed countries in the process of improving the national criminal law has been identified and substantiated. On the basis of the conducted research, the author formulates the main characteristics of the composition of the remaining in danger, put forward a number of proposals and recommendations for improving the regulatory statement of Article 117 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan (Leaving at risk).

In this article, the author attempted to reveal the possibilities of a new direction of legal science, emerging not only in Uzbekistan, but also in the entire post-Soviet space – comparative criminal procedural law, which can be used at the present stage of reforms and changed in Uzbekistan in the field of justice. In particular, the comparative criminal procedure law can successfully, on the basis of the proven experience of the most developed democratic countries, solve many tasks identified in the field of justice recently adopted. Development strategy on five priority directions of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2017–2021. These tasks include further modernization and optimization of the domestic criminal process, bringing the domestic criminal process closer to the standards and principles of justice that are universally recognized in the democratic community, as well as ensuring the impartiality and objectivity of the criminal process at the pre-trial stage.

This article addresses Inderpal Grewal and Caren Kaplan's call for transnational feminist research that makes visible "the material conditions that structure women's lives in diverse locations" (17). The author argues that videogames can contribute to feminist scholarship by creating virtual spaces that simulate how a transnational politics of location plays out on women's bodies. This article provides a spatial analysis of three videogames, République, Horizon: Zero Dawn, and Alien: Isolation, to show how the games' procedures can persuade audiences to empathize with the surveillance and precarity of women's bodies in real-life transnational experiences. While the games focus on "stealth," the limitations provided by the gameplay simulate the different ways in which women's bodies must "sneak" around national identities and rules, thus showing the ways in which a transnational politics of location creates "contradictory positions. . . [for women who] inhibit unitary identities" (Grewal and Kaplan 7).

Artikeln utvecklar argumentet, att svensk politik om kulturell mångfald och medborgarskap kan dra nytta av islamsk teori om samhällskontrakt. Syftet är att belysa betydelsen av universalism för mänskliga och medborgerliga rättigheter, och sambandet mellan betoning av 'nationella värderingar' och ojämlikhet mellan majoritet och minoriteter. Tre typer av samband analyseras. Först, sambandet mellan jämlikhet i ett mångkulturellt samhälle och kulturella minoriteters möjlighet att generera kulturellt, socialt och ekonomiskt 'kapital', i Pierre Bourdieus bemärkelse. För det andra, sambandet mellan jämlikhet i ett mångkulturellt samhälle och ett universalistiskt samhällskontrakt. För det tredje, sambandet mellan islamsk samhällskontraktsteori och europeiska moderna samhällskontrakt, som kan förklaras av att europeiska kontrakts- och toleransteoretiker, här John Locke, studerade arabiska och islam.
