International Economic Processes and the Work of the Council for Mutual Economic Assistance
In: International social science journal: ISSJ, Band 30, Heft 2, S. 353-362
Abstract
The Council for Mutual Economic Assistance (CMEA) recognizes & deals with international economic issues, including the equalization of output among all nations, energy issues, & environmental concerns. It is time that the countries of the Third World were given economic justice. Countries of the CMEA deal with the energy problem through international cooperation, thereby increasing production of raw materials & assuring the security of each country. In 1973, a Council for the Protection & Improvement of the Environment was created & represents an interdisciplinary & international approach to the solution of world-wide problems. The West is becoming aware of the wisdom of cooperation with the Soviet states & is understanding that global problems cannot be solved without the participation of the Soviet states. 2 Tables. L.
