Abstract
Addresses fallacies tainting the debate on catastrophe risk & (re)insurance in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. Attention is given to criticisms leveled against the insurance industry by politicians & consumer advocates, FL's failed legislative initiatives, & similar federal subsidization schemes.
