Chinese lawyers on independence of state-owned enterprises
In: Far Eastern affairs: a Russian journal on China, Japan and Asia-Pacific Region ; a quarterly publication of the Institute for Far Eastern Studies, Russian Academy of Sciences, S. 15-22
Abstract
Of all the issues of reforms aimed at creating a "viable economy" the Chinese leaders legitimately emphasize greater "viability of enterprises" (primarily large and medium state-owned enterprises). The methods of upgrading economic independence of enterprises were confirmed by the October 1987 CPC (Communist Party of China) Congress. However, the discussion of property rights of enterprises has revealed numerous differing points of view on the matter among Chinese lawyers. The paper takes a look at these points of view. (DÜI-Sen)
