Foreign relief assistance: Aid agony

Abstract

The report appraises the delicate relationship between some of the non governmental relief organisations operating in Sudan and the government in Khartoum. Enclosed is a general survey of all relief and rehabilitation activities. The four organisations recently expelled: the African Committee for the Rehabilitation of Southern Sudan; World Vision; Lutheran World Federation and the Swedish Free Mission are said to have busied themselves with spreading Christianity instead of doing the work they were originally granted licence for.
