Abstract
CARICOM, established in 1973, represents one of the main attempts at integration; it consists of 13 independent English-speaking countries with a total population of 5.5 million. This article is concerned with the institutional framework of agricultural planning in the countries of the Community. Some similarities to Latin American priorities within their planning systems consolidate the basis for effective cooperation between the two regions
