Abstract

According to the author, some important changes are going in Northeast Asia after the end of the Cold War, which may eventually lead to drastic changes in the patterns of international relations. He examines the security system of this region with special reference to the Korean peninsula. A new strategy pursued by the USA since the mid-1980s in world politics is briefly discussed. (DÜI-Sen)
