Choice of technology in industry: The economics of grain-milling in Tanzania

Abstract

This book evaluates the relative performance of alternative grain-milling techniques in Tanzania to identify appropriate ones and explain why some firms select inappropriate techniques and products. The consequences of technology choice are then discussed within the context of employment creation, output expansion, surplus generation, skill formation, and overall resource use. (DÜI-Hff)
