This book is not a regular political biography. It is an attempt at a scholarly analysis of the Nigerian polity. It attempts to see the Nigerian polity through the perceptual prism of the leader - his feelings in situations of stress in crisis decision-making, and non-crisis decision-making. It attempts also to see the leader and his capabilities through the intricate web of Nigeria's polity.
