Abstract

Kant's Critique of Practical Reason (1788) shows that pure reason can be practical "for itself," that is, that it can influence the will, by examining keywords like pure will, the lawgiving form of maxims, transcendental freedom, autonomy, and the fact of reason in the "Analytic." To mark the 300th anniversary of Immanuel Kant's birth, each article in the third edition has been revised and updated to reflect the latest research.
