Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected many areas of human life, including the organization of work. Due to the growing scale of infections and restrictions introduced by governments, remote work has become the only option for many employees to perform their duties. However, in a short time, apart from its numerous advantages, disadvantages of this solution were also noticed. Hence the growing need to find the optimal model of work organization in the future. Taking into account the above, the aim of the article is to indicate the differences in the implementation and perception of remote work by women and men during the COVID-19 pandemic in Poland and other European Union countries, the assessment of selected aspects of remote work from the employee's perspective and presentation of opportunities for the development of remote/hybrid work. The analysis concerning EU-27 are based on the results of Eurofound survey and Eurostat statistical data. On the other hand, the results of our own surveys, conducted in December 2021, focus on the situation on the labour market in Poland.
