Abstract

Historical works written during The Reform and the Second Mexican Empire, as well as their discussion in the press are significant for the construction of the modern Mexican State. This text analyses the reception in the newspapers of a corpus of representative historical works published between 1856 and 1874 by liberals and conservatives.
