Russian Red Cross: history and directions of work (19th century — early 21st century)

Abstract

The article deals with the history and peculiarities of the organization of the Russian Red Cross from the XIX century to the present. The authors draw attention to the fact that this community helped people not only during the war but also in case of natural disasters and epidemics. The participation of the Red Cross in the organization of sanatorium treatment of people is noted.
