Abstract

Foster carers are usually required to take part in a series of training sessions, both before and after their approval as carers. Over the years, the style and content of these sessions have continued to evolve. Here Anne Gilchrist and Pauline Hoggan describe and assess a recent initiative by one District Resource Team, dedicated to easing and improving relations between foster carers and birth parents.
