Las mujeres recuerdan. Género y memoria del exilio republicano en Francia (1939-1978) ; Women remember. Gender and memory of the Spanish republican exile in France (1939-1978)

Abstract

En este artículo realiza un recorrido por la memoria de cuatro mujeres refugiadas en Francia tras la guerra civil española, con el objetivo de ver qué y cómo recuerdan las mujeres su experiencia del exilio. Se intenta demostrar que los escritos femeninos, especialmente aquellos de mujeres que no tuvieron una gran proyección política y/o cultural, pueden desestabilizar y, a su vez, complejizar el relato hegemónico de lucha, militancia y heroísmo masculino que tradicionalmente ha caracterizado a este episodio de nuestra historia contemporánea. Pensamos que a través de sus narraciones las mujeres construyeron subjetividades diversas en torno a la experiencia del exilio, que el género marcó sus vivencias y ello ha tenido un correlato en las prácticas del recuerdo al potenciar temáticas y enfoques que permiten observar otra forma de entender y vivir el exilio, sin perder de vista la pluralidad los mismos. ; This paper aims to explore, through the memory of four refugee women in France after the Spanish Civil War, what and how women remember their experience of exile. We will try to demonstrate that the feminine narratives, especially those of women who did not have a political and / or cultural projection, can destabilize the hegemonic memory of struggle, militancy and masculine heroism that has traditionally characterized this episode of our history. We think that through their narrations, women constructed diverse indentities around the experience of exile, that gender crossed their experiences and it has had a correlation in the practices of memory by enhancing themes and approaches that allow us to observe another way of understanding and live the exile, without losing sight of their plurality.
