This paper examines the relevance, in a globalising era, of two notions often used by sociologists, economists, political analysts and politicians: social cohesion and social capital. It treats of this topic in four parts. 1. Domains of both of these notions; 2. Differences between them; 3. How and in what context are they used nowadays? 4.
