Structuring Local Associative Systems of Wellbeing ; La Structuration des Systèmes Associatifs Locaux de Bien-Être

Abstract

This article presents, first, the characteristics of local associative systems based on empirical data from the province of Quebec, Canada. The information, of a quantitative and qualitative nature, reveals a great diversity of the local associative systems. Thus, in the second moment, the text presents an analysis of the dimensions that contribute to this diversity. Two types of phenomena structure this diversity of associations: structural phenomena and interpretive phenomena. Structural phenomena include the territory, the associations' age, their size and the type of use of services. As far as interpretative phenomena are concerned, we explore the dynamics of social relations and of the constructed schemas of interpretation. Finally, the text underlines the context and capacity for social innovation of these associations. ; Este artigo apresenta, em primeiro lugar, as características dos sistemas associativos locais baseando-se em dados empíricos da província do Québec, no Canadá. A informação, de natureza quantitativa e qualitativa, revela uma grande diversidade dos sistemas associativos locais. Assim, num segundo momento, o texto apresenta uma análise das dimensões que contribuem para essa diversidade. Dois tipos de fenómenos estruturam essa diversidade das associações: os fenómenos estruturais e os fenómenos interpretativos. De entre os fenómenos estruturais, salienta-se o território, a idade das associações, a sua dimensão e o tipo de uso dos serviços. No que diz respeito aos fenómenos interpretativos, encontramos a dinâmica das relações sociais e dos esquemas de interpretação construídos.
