Abstract

Timothy Donahue writes from Fort Ethan Allen, Vermont, to his brother John C. Donahue on 28 September 1916; he describes his return trip from Eagle Pass, Texas, to Vermont with other members of Company F of the Vermont National Guard; anticipates a "banquet & dance" on their return to Northfield, Vermont. ; Timothy Michael Donahue (1893-1973) of Northfield, Vermont, served in the Vermont National Guard during the Mexican Border Crisis and in the U.S. Army during World War I. His parents ran the Norwich University mess hall for many years.
